Watch Description

While they might have a deep-rooted history in watchmaking Patek Philippe’s first-ever Régulateur timepiece was indeed the ref. 5235G. Released in 2012, the Patek Philippe Complications Annual Calendar Regulator ref. 5235G featured a stunningly legible and beautifully symmetrical Regulator layout, as its name suggests. With a classy design and connections to watchmaking's roots, the ref. 5235G was, indeed, a home run. Made of 18kt white gold it features a two-tone silver and white dial with a central minutes hand, a pair of sunken subdials at 12 o'clock and 6 o’clock to display the hours and the seconds, respectively. Furthermore, it boasts an annual calendar complication which displays the day, month and date at 10, 2 and 6 o'clock, respectively. Featuring an almost-entirely polished construction, it boasts a flat gently angled bezel with a small step out to its brushed mid-case and sharp faceted lugs that provide a close wearing experience, as the watch wears flat to wrist. Powered by the automatic cal. 31‑260 REG QA, the ref. 5235G displays some wonderful watchmaking craftsmanship behind its exhibition caseback across its numerous surfaces, bridges, gears and micro-rotor.
