I’ve got a ~6” wrist, so finding watches that actually fit well has always been the biggest challenge. Over time I realized I naturally prefer smaller proportions — around that 34–36mm range where things feel balanced instead of overwhelming.
- Cartier Santos Galbée – bought after finishing college in Switzerland. This one made me appreciate proportions and design. Usually on leather when I want something clean and more formal.
- Omega SMP 300 midsize – to celebrate landing my first full-time job as a cook. This is basically my kitchen watch now — always on rubber, easy, durable, and something I don’t have to think twice about during service.
- Breitling B09 – my wedding watch. Wears larger on my wrist (around 47mm L2L), which makes it feel a bit more special. Mostly kept on a brown NATO — casual but still meaningful.
- Rolex OP34 Red Grape (114200) – newest addition for my promotion to sous chef. This will probably be my daily. I like how it wears almost like a bracelet with a dial — subtle but still has personality depending on the light.

Three-watch collection after 14 years. I feel like I have arrived at a refined three-watch collection that checks every box I feel I need.
Grand Seiko SBGY013 Omiwatari manual spring drive. I can put on leather for dress. Newest acquisition. It checks all of the boxes I wanted. No date, hand wind, accurate, and elegant.
Tudor Pelagos 39. My daily driver. I got a half link for it and the t-fit is so hard to consider anything that doesn’t have that level of micro adjust. I love titanium as well. I don’t mind the few scratches it gets.
Casio GCWB5000UN-1. My travel and weekend stealth. It’s solid carbon so it is featherweight on the wrist and disappears. It is also very rugged and can withstand a beating. I feel like it is ounce for ounce the best Casio square and would take it over an MRG 8 days a week.

Choosing travel companions. You know you have a problem when you think to yourself “I can only take 3 watches” and it’s a 4 day trip, I mean yes I could take 4, one on my wrist and 3 in the roll but then maybe I can leave with 3 and come back with 4..
Anyway, what do you guys typically choose, do you cover different bases? (One dress watch, one beater, etc.) or do you go with what you feel at the moment?
AI Review Highlights:
This trio forms a cohesive yet diverse luxury sports watch collection anchored by the bold titanium Panerai Submersible QuarantaQuattro Bianco diver, the vibrant Tudor Black Bay Chrono Flamingo Blue chronograph, and the refined rectangular Cartier Santos Steel Blue, blending rugged tool-watch utility with elegant design flair for the enthusiast who values heritage performance across adventure, timing, and everyday versatility—all powered by high-quality in-house automatic movements offering 40 to 72+ hours of power reserve.
