I’ve been collecting for a year. I got the legend diver to replace my Hamilton Khaki Scuba that got stolen. Next up should be the long awaited Speedmaster sapphire sandwich.

It's been a year since the start of my watch collecting journey and I have 3 pieces to show for it. Didn't plan it out this way, but I ended up with a land, air, and sea trio! I tend to lean towards pieces that have a bit of history behind them.

Two very different expressions of the same utilitarian approach to watchmaking. The functionality informs the aesthetic - everything present was designed in service of creating the most functional tool possible.
As a two watch collection, this covers all my bases and works perfectly for my lifestyle. Kind of a "work and play" duo.

2 - Furlan Marri / Studio Underd0g - 202310192357
Collector:
I am a huge fan of microbands. You can find a lot of flair and color in limited availability’s for a very affordable price.
These are my two most recent.
The Furlan Marri X Seconde Seconde is 38mm and uses a mechaquartz movement. Lug to lug is around 46mm.
The Studio Underdog is 38.5mm but has a lug to lug of about 44mm. It uses the famous seagull chronograph movement.
The attention to detail on both are amazing for the price. I am a huge fan of both of them, but if you had to choose one, which would it be?

AI Review Highlights:
This duo forms a cohesive pair of microbrand chronographs emphasizing playful, artistic dials in compact 38mm stainless steel cases powered by reliable Seiko mecha-quartz movements with sweeping seconds hands and approximately 45-hour power reserves when the mechanical side is wound, targeting fun-loving enthusiasts who prioritize unique designs, everyday wearability, and exceptional value over traditional luxury pedigrees.

3 - Omega / Tissot / Hamilton - 202310192142
Collector:
The hamilton feels great to wear, it's light and looks good on every strap.
The prx chronograph looks and feels amazing to wear and the bracelet is amazing.
The omega seamaster 300m is my favorite of the bunch. It's one of the best dive watches from the finishing and the movement and build quality.

AI Review Highlights:
This trio forms a practical starter collection for the value-driven enthusiast, blending Omega's premium dive watch prowess, Tissot's sporty integrated chronograph flair, and Hamilton's no-nonsense field watch utility, with a shared emphasis on steel construction, automatic movements (noting the Tissot's robust ETA-based chrono), and versatile tool-watch functionality suitable for daily adventures or office timing needs.

2 - Yema / Seiko - 202310171042
Collector:
These two are the stars of my quartz-lection. I’ve actually bought and sold a surprising number of automatic watches with similar aesthetics because I’ve put in years as a mechanic / engineer and I love over-complicated machines but I just haven’t found anything that clicks with me as well as these. Guess I just have a thing for racing-inspired panda-dial quartz watches.
