Watch Description

Just as the creations of the world's great fashion designers rely on the perfect mix of fabric and cut, the Tissot Couturier timepieces blend elegant lines with materials to match. These watches express their made-to-measure character through their uncompromising attention to detail. These promise to outlive any fashion whim and stand the test of time.

The Couturier collection is described by Tissot as a "blend elegant lines with materials to match". In our view the Swiss made Couturier collection is a lot more than just elegant. It really is a timelessly stylish watch. The 'no fuss' stainless steel case has a brushed and polished finish and leads very neatly onto the substantial stainless steel bracelet which also has a brushed and polished finish. The 3 sub dials display a seconds hand, a 1/10 of a second counter and a minute counter. There is also a discrete date window at 4 o'clock.

# Tissot Couturier Chronograph Review by A.I. WatchMetrics

## Watch Summary
The Tissot Couturier Chronograph is a refined dress-sport chronograph blending elegant lines with functional timing capabilities, featuring a polished stainless steel 40mm case, opaline black sunray dial with rhodium hands and applied indices, three subdials in a classic layout, and a sapphire crystal; it targets the style-conscious professional seeking reliable quartz precision in a versatile daily wearer, powered by the Swiss-made A05.H31 quartz chronograph movement with up to 48 months battery life.

## Overall Watch Rating: 6.8/10.0

**Cohesiveness Metric (9.0/10.0)** - As a standalone piece, it exemplifies tight integration of design and function, on par with well-executed single-model icons from brands like Nomos.

**Material Metric (8.0/10.0)** - Solid 316L stainless steel construction with sapphire crystal and polished finishing delivers premium feel comparable to entry-level luxury divers like the Oris Aquis.

**Versatility Metric (7.8/10.0)** - Seamlessly transitions from office suits to weekend casuals thanks to its chronograph utility and clean aesthetic, much like a Tag Heuer Formula 1.

**Dials & Design Metric (7.8/10.0)** - The opaline black dial with guilloche subdials and applied markers offers sophisticated legibility rivaling mid-tier dress chronos from Maurice Lacroix.

**Complications Metric (7.5/10.0)** - The reliable quartz chronograph with 1/10th-second timing performs steadily against mechanical rivals like the Hamilton Intra-Matic.

**Functions Metric (7.0/10.0)** - Core timekeeping plus date and full chronograph suite provides practical utility similar to Seiko's Presage chronographs.

**History & Innovation Metric (6.5/10.0)** - Draws on Tissot's 170-year Swiss heritage with quartz efficiency, akin to Citizen's established Eco-Drive legacy.

**Brand Metric (5.2/10.0)** - Tissot upholds mid-tier Swiss reliability under the Swatch Group, benchmarking against Hamilton's accessible tool watches.

**Movement Metric (5.5/10.0)** - The A05.H31 quartz chronograph ensures high accuracy and low maintenance, though it trails mechanical ETA-powered pieces from Certina.

**Rarity Metric (3.6/10.0)** - Common production and accessible pricing place it alongside mass-market chronos like those from Bulova.

## Total Performance Score (TPS): 4.0

## WM Collector Grade: C+

## Performance Insights: Excels in materials, design cohesiveness, and complications for everyday use while lagging in rarity and mechanical prestige, delivering solid value well below its $1,200 implied price.

## TPS Interpretation: Average Value: The watch matches expected performance at its price with reliable quartz functionality and elegant styling suited for broad appeal.
