The watch face is shielded by a flat sapphire crystal lens and has clearly marked indexes and specific pulse-tracking functionalities. The mechanics are simple - easily count off heart and respiratory rates within a few seconds by using the precise graduated scales on the dial. This saves valuable time compared to the traditional way. Pulse rates per minute are generally counted in a 15 or 30 seconds window; this watch uses a 30 seconds count as it gives a more accurate reading.

Simply activate the chronograph and count the specified number of beats, stop the chronograph at the corresponding mark, and take a reading. The central seconds-hand will now be pointing to your required measurements in counts per minute. A clearly visible date window also saves precious seconds in the field, giving information at a glance while filling in pages of detailed notes.
