Watch Description

Aristo Watch Import Company was an American technical instrument company that imported high-end watch movements during the 1940s through the 60s and sold watches under their name primarily to the medical and scientific community.  Many of their ads from the era can be found in medical journals and in science publications such as popular science.  Since Aristo marketed toward and focused on a very small market at the time, there are few watches baring their name, and even fewer executed with a Valjoux 72c.

The Valjoux 72c is a very complicated triple calendar chronograph movement, and one of the most coveted column wheel chronograph calibers of all time.

# Aristo Triple Calendar Chronograph Review by A.I. WatchMetrics

## Watch Summary
The Aristo Triple Calendar Chronograph is a mid-tier German sports-dress watch blending classic chronograph styling with practical complications, featuring a 40mm stainless steel case, sunburst dial with day-date-month windows at 12 o'clock, sub-dials for chronograph functions, and a reliable Sellita SW500 automatic movement offering 48 hours of power reserve, ideal for the enthusiast seeking vintage-inspired functionality without luxury pricing.

## Overall Watch Rating: 6.8/10.0

**Complications Metric (9.2/10.0)** - Exceptional complication set rivals mid-range Omega models with its triple calendar and flyback chronograph integration.
**Functions Metric (8.7/10.0)** - Comprehensive daily utility including chronograph, day, date, and month exceeds typical tool watches in this price range.
**Movement Metric (7.1/10.0)** - Solid Sellita SW500 performs reliably like ETA 7750 equivalents but lacks high-end finishing.
**Dials & Design Metric (6.9/10.0)** - Attractive sunburst dial and balanced layout evoke 1960s chronographs akin to Heuer Carrera but with modern legibility.
**Material Metric (6.8/10.0)** - Stainless steel case with sapphire crystal matches Sinn's durable build quality at entry premium levels.
**Rarity Metric (6.2/10.0)** - Moderate exclusivity from €2,200 pricing positions it above mass-market divers like Seiko Prospex.
**Versatility Metric (6.1/10.0)** - Transitions well from office to weekend like a TAG Heuer Formula 1 but limited by 50m water resistance.
**History & Innovation Metric (5.3/10.0)** - Draws on Aristo's aviation heritage similar to early IWC pilots without groundbreaking advancements.
**Brand Metric (4.7/10.0)** - Reliable German craftsmanship on par with Sinn or Stowa for accessible mechanicals.

## Total Performance Score (TPS): 6.4

## WM Collector Grade: B

## Performance Insights: Strong complications and functions deliver excellent value in a mid-tier package, though brand prestige and water resistance lag, outperforming its €2,200 implied price equivalent.

## TPS Interpretation: Good Value: The watch offers robust mechanical complications and everyday versatility well above basic expectations for its segment.
