Watch Description
The Automatic version of the 1970s type tonneau case, made to the same spec as the Mellor-72 but with the Sellita SW200-1 (26 jewels) automatic movement. Rugged and reliable, the W10 GS Navigator does not require winding when worn regularly. Built to the same defence standard as all our military watches.
The original mechanical handwound W10 is a classic military timepiece that is very collectable, with many still working perfectly after military service and 40+ years. A true testament to the build quality of CWC.
The CWC W10 Auto GS Navigator has the same case shape with the additional date function and using the original specified Hesalite glass. Built to the same tough specification as the original W10. A classic British military design.

A.I. Watch Review:
# CWC W10 Navigator Automatic Review by A.I. WatchMetrics
## Watch Summary
The CWC W10 Navigator Automatic is a rugged pilot-style tool watch reissuing the 1950s British RAF navigator specification, featuring a 40mm stainless steel case with a black dial accented by a railway minute track, bold luminous indices, small seconds at 9 o'clock, and a date window at 3, powered by the reliable Sellita SW200-1 automatic movement with 38 hours of power reserve, ideal for aviation enthusiasts, military collectors, and everyday adventurers seeking no-nonsense legibility and heritage.
## Overall Watch Rating: 7.8/10.0
**Dials & Design Metric (8.8/10.0)** - The clean, highly legible black dial with railway track and Super-LumiNova indices delivers exceptional pilot-watch aesthetics, on par with the Blancpain Air Command.
**Material Metric (9.2/10.0)** - Grade 316L stainless steel paired with a double-domed sapphire crystal offers robust, premium construction akin to military-grade Omega divers.
**Rarity Metric (8.2/10.0)** - At around $1,200 retail with limited production runs true to mil-spec heritage, it strikes a balance between exclusivity and accessibility like early Dirty Dozen reissues.
**Versatility Metric (8.5/10.0)** - This field-pilot hybrid excels from cockpit to casual wear with 100m water resistance and NATO strap compatibility, rivaling the Sinn 856.
**History & Innovation Metric (7.8/10.0)** - Deep RAF navigator legacy from the 1950s provides strong historical cred, though modern execution lacks groundbreaking novelties, similar to IWC Mark XI homages.
**Movement Metric (7.8/10.0)** - The Sellita SW200-1 automatic delivers dependable in-house-like performance with hacking and hand-winding, matching ETA 2824 benchmarks in Hamilton Khakis.
**Brand Metric (6.5/10.0)** - CWC holds strong enthusiast appeal as a UK military specialist with low-volume production, on level with Marathon or Bremont's entry pilots.
**Functions Metric (6.2/10.0)** - Core timekeeping plus date provides practical utility without excess, comparable to Seiko's Prospex field watches.
**Complications Metric (4.5/10.0)** - Simple date complication keeps it straightforward for a navigator, falling short of multifunction pilots like the Breitling Navitimer.
## Total Performance Score (TPS): 7.2
## WM Collector Grade: A-
## Performance Insights: Strong materials, design, and versatility drive value in this heritage tool watch, outperforming its implied price point for military enthusiasts despite modest complications.
## TPS Interpretation: Strong Value: The watch exceeds expectations with authentic pilot heritage and build quality well above its accessible pricing.
