Right around the time of the quartz crisis/revolution Aubrey Freres bought Doxa and wanted to modernize their watch designs and created a few “Aubrey-era” dive watches that had a very 70’s characteristic style with hooded lugs to create a integrated look with the bracelet.

**Doxa Sub 600 Pro Pepsi Aubry Quartz Diver Model Aubry_Sub600 Review by A.I. WatchMetrics**

### Watch Summary:
The Doxa Sub 600 Pro Pepsi Aubry is a robust quartz diver's watch, designed for those who appreciate both functionality and style. Classified under the Sport/Active category, this watch is ideal for diving enthusiasts and those who require a reliable timepiece for outdoor activities. The watch features a distinctive "Pepsi" bezel, which adds a splash of color and enhances its sporty appeal. With a quartz movement, the watch offers precision and low maintenance, making it suitable for everyday wear. The Doxa Sub 600 Pro is equipped with a water resistance of up to 600 meters, ensuring durability in aquatic environments. Its intended audience includes divers, sports enthusiasts, and individuals who value a combination of practicality and bold design.

### Overall Watch Rating: 6.5/10.0

- **Functions Metric (8.5/10.0)**
The Doxa Sub 600 Pro excels in functionality with its impressive 600-meter water resistance, making it highly suitable for professional diving. The watch also features a unidirectional rotating bezel, enhancing its utility for timing underwater activities.

- **Versatility Metric (8.0/10.0)**
While primarily a diver's watch, its bold design and reliable quartz movement make it versatile enough for casual and sporty settings. However, its specialized nature limits its use in formal environments.

- **Material Metric (7.5/10.0)**
The watch is constructed with durable stainless steel, providing robustness and longevity. The use of a sapphire crystal adds scratch resistance, though the materials are standard for its category.

- **Dials & Design Metric (7.0/10.0)**
The design is bold and functional, with a clear and legible dial. The "Pepsi" bezel adds a unique touch, though the overall design remains conventional for a diver's watch.

- **Movement Metric (6.5/10.0)**
The quartz movement offers precision and reliability, though it lacks the complexity and craftsmanship of mechanical movements. The focus is on practicality rather than horological innovation.

- **Brand Metric (6.0/10.0)**
Doxa is recognized for its diving watches, particularly within niche markets. However, it does not have the widespread prestige of higher-tier luxury brands.

- **Complications Metric (5.5/10.0)**
The watch features basic complications typical of a diver's watch, such as a date function. It lacks advanced complications, which is expected for its category.

- **History & Innovation Metric (5.0/10.0)**
While Doxa has a history in diving watches, this model does not introduce significant innovations or historical milestones. It maintains the brand's tradition without groundbreaking advancements.

- **Rarity Metric (4.5/10.0)**
The Doxa Sub 600 Pro is a production model with no limited edition status, making it relatively accessible. Its rarity is primarily based on its niche appeal rather than production constraints.

### Celebrity and Historical Figures:
While no specific celebrities are known for wearing the Doxa Sub 600 Pro, the brand has a historical connection with diving professionals and enthusiasts. Doxa watches have been favored by divers for their reliability and functionality in underwater environments.
