This 42 mm model is crafted from stainless steel and 18K yellow gold, and includes a black ceramic bezel with a Ceragold™ diving scale. The dial is also polished black ceramic and features laser-engraved waves and a date window at 6 o’clock.

The skeleton hands and raised indexes are 18K yellow gold and are filled with white Super-LumiNova, while the helium escape valve has been given a conical design.

The watch is presented on a stainless steel and 18K yellow gold bracelet and is driven by the OMEGA Master Chronometer Calibre 8800, which can be seen through the sapphire-crystal on the wave-edged caseback.

# Omega Seamaster 300M 42 MM Review by A.I. WatchMetrics

## Watch Summary
The Omega Seamaster 300M 42mm is a professional-grade dive watch blending sports luxury with James Bond heritage, featuring a robust stainless steel case, unidirectional ceramic bezel with dive scale, laser-engraved wave-pattern dial, skeletonized hands, and helium escape valve, targeted at active enthusiasts seeking reliability and style; powered by the in-house automatic Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8800 with 55-hour power reserve and METAS certification for magnetic resistance and precision.

## Overall Watch Rating: 8.1/10.0

**Dials & Design Metric (9.3/10.0)** - Its laser-ablated ceramic wave dial and sword hands deliver timeless dive watch appeal comparable to the most refined modern Submariners.
**Movement Metric (9.2/10.0)** - The Calibre 8800's Co-Axial escapement, silicon components, and Master Chronometer certification outperform most competitors in the $5,000 range like the ETA-powered divers.
**Material Metric (9.1/10.0)** - Grade 5 titanium isn't used but the sapphire AR-coated crystal, brushed/polished steel, and scratch-resistant ceramic bezel provide top-tier durability on par with higher-end Seamasters.
**Brand Metric (8.8/10.0)** - Omega's luxury prestige and Olympic timing legacy firmly establish it in the elite tier alongside Rolex and Breitling.
**History & Innovation Metric (8.7/10.0)** - Decades of dive watch evolution plus pioneering Co-Axial and METAS testing innovations make it a benchmark like the original 300M from the '90s.
**Versatility Metric (8.6/10.0)** - From boardroom bracelet swaps to underwater adventures at 300m, it matches the cross-scene adaptability of a Tudor Black Bay.
**Functions Metric (8.4/10.0)** - Core timekeeping with date, superb lume, and high WR deliver dependable daily utility akin to established tool watches.
**Rarity Metric (6.8/10.0)** - At mainstream production volumes, it trails limited-run divers like the Blancpain Fifty Fathoms but holds value through popularity.
**Complications Metric (4.0/10.0)** - A simple date window keeps it basic compared to chronograph-heavy Seamasters or Patek Nautilus alternatives.

## Total Performance Score (TPS): 7.5

## WM Collector Grade: A

## Performance Insights: Excels in movement, materials, and design for everyday luxury diving, but limited rarity and complications temper collector appeal; strong value trading below its implied price target.

## TPS Interpretation: Good Value: The watch exceeds expectations in build and innovation for its market price, offering luxury dive performance without excess.
