Watch Description

https://www.ethoswatches.com/the-watch-guide/oris-bc3-day-date/

The model name BC refers to the Big Crown, specifically designed to be operated while wearing flying gloves, and is a nod to the models made in WWII that needed to be set/operated without aircrew removing their gloves (heating was a luxury not extended to military aircraft, and operating thousands of feet above the earth for extended periods the aircraft interiors would be barely above freezing).
The BC3 line usually features a satin finished stainless steel three hand 42mm model, although a 42mm chronograph (674 7511 41 64, Caliber 674, ETA7750) was available, and can still be found on auction sites from time to time.

Traditionally, (since the model was released in 2000) the day and date windows have been located opposite each other at the 12 and 6 o’clock positions on the dial, something of an Oris signature, but new models now have the two displays on top of each other in a ‘T’ shaped window.
