Watch Description
This Seiko Prospex Limited Edition Dawn Grey Samurai SRPD03K1 is one of only 2018 watches made, and only for the European market. It is provided with the original limited edition box and papers, along with two instruction manuals. The Dawn Grey theme pairs a silver/grey dial, bezel and chapter ring with a highlight burst of orange marking the initial dive time on the bezel, orange tipped seconds hand, and subtle orange markers at the 3,6,9,12 on the chapter ring with the addition of the date window at 3 o’clock.
Coming on a steel bracelet with divers extension. The Samurai execution of colours, fit and finish is essentially the same as the Seiko Prospex Turtle with the obvious difference between the two being that the orange marker on the bezel for the dive time which you can see runs from the 0 - 15 minute marker, aligning with the crown, and then the case shape is obviously different. The dial has a hobnail pattern to it which is also wonderful.
The watch has a water resistance of upto 200 meters making it ideal for underwater use. A great looking limited edition watch which does exactly what it says on the tin and some!

# Seiko Prospex Samurai Dawn Grey LE-2018 Review by A.I. WatchMetrics
## Watch Summary
The Seiko Prospex Samurai Dawn Grey LE-2018 (SRPE05J1) is a sporty titanium diver's watch featuring a distinctive cushion-shaped case, hammered "dawn grey" textured dial and matching bezel for a stealthy aesthetic, aimed at dive enthusiasts and collectors seeking robust tool-watch performance without luxury pricing; standout features include super-hard coated titanium construction, 200m water resistance, Lumibrite lume, and the in-house 6R35 automatic movement offering an impressive 70-hour power reserve.
## Overall Watch Rating: 7.1/10.0
**Material Metric (9.1/10.0)** - Super-hard coated titanium case paired with sapphire crystal delivers near-luxury durability on par with Tudor's entry-level titanium divers.
**Dials & Design Metric (8.7/10.0)** - The unique hammered grey dial and angular Samurai cushion profile provide standout visual appeal reminiscent of cult Seiko divers like the Tuna.
**History & Innovation Metric (8.5/10.0)** - Backed by Seiko's pioneering diver legacy since the 1960s and bolstered by the class-leading 70-hour power reserve, it punches above typical mid-tier innovation.
**Versatility Metric (8.4/10.0)** - Seamlessly transitions from underwater adventures to casual everyday wear, much like a more affordable Omega Seamaster 300.
**Movement Metric (8.4/10.0)** - The 6R35 automatic offers reliable accuracy, hand-winding, hacking, and exceptional 70-hour reserve surpassing many workhorse ETA movements.
**Functions Metric (6.0/10.0)** - Core time, date, and rotating diver bezel deliver practical utility but fall short of multifunction pieces like GMT divers.
**Rarity Metric (5.3/10.0)** - Limited to 2,000 pieces, it provides decent collector exclusivity similar to other sub-$2,000 brand limited editions.
**Brand Metric (5.2/10.0)** - Seiko Prospex commands strong enthusiast loyalty in the mid-tier, on par with brands like Hamilton or Sinn for reliable tooling.
**Complications Metric (4.0/10.0)** - Minimal date function keeps things simple, lagging behind chronograph-laden competitors like the Seiko Speedtimer.
## Total Performance Score (TPS): 6.5
## WM Collector Grade: B
## Performance Insights: Excels in material quality, design originality, and movement endurance while basic complications and functions temper complexity; strong value trading significantly below its $3,500 implied price.
## TPS Interpretation: Solid Value: This limited edition packs premium titanium build and long-reserve reliability at a fraction of comparable luxury pricing.
