In 1989, Tudor released the last of the acrylic crystal submariner references, the 79090. The ref. 79090 was nearly identical to the previous ref. 76100, except it featured mercedes hands and included the updated ETA calibre 2824-2.  While the ref. 79090 was the last submariner to feature an acrylic crystal, it was not the last submariner in Tudor’s lineup.
