### Overall Watch Rating: 7.5/10.0
- **Functions Metric (8.5/10.0)**
The Vertex M100A offers practical features such as water resistance up to 100 meters, making it suitable for swimming and light diving. It also includes high-quality lume for enhanced visibility in low-light conditions, adding to its functionality.
- **History & Innovation Metric (8.3/10.0)**
The M100A pays homage to its historical roots as a military watch, maintaining the design ethos of the original Vertex models. Its historical significance is a key factor in its appeal, though it lacks groundbreaking innovations.
- **Movement Metric (8.0/10.0)**
The watch is powered by the ETA 7001 automatic movement, known for its reliability and precision. While not in-house, the movement is well-regarded for its performance and durability.
- **Dials & Design Metric (7.8/10.0)**
The M100A features a clean, legible dial with applied markers and a matte finish, reflecting its military heritage. The design is straightforward yet effective, with a focus on functionality over embellishment.

The M100A is versatile enough for both casual and active settings, though its military styling may not suit formal occasions. Its design is best suited for enthusiasts of vintage and military watches.
- **Rarity Metric (7.0/10.0)**
As a limited reissue, the M100A has a degree of exclusivity, though it is not extremely rare. Its production is limited compared to mass-market models, adding to its collector appeal.
- **Brand Metric (6.8/10.0)**
Vertex is a respected name with a rich history, particularly in military watchmaking. However, it lacks the widespread recognition of larger luxury brands, which impacts its brand score.
- **Complications Metric (6.5/10.0)**
The watch features basic complications, including time and date functions. It does not offer advanced complications, which is typical for its style and intended use.
### Celebrity and Historical Figures:
While no specific celebrities are known to wear the Vertex M100A, the brand's historical connection to the British military and its role in World War II lend it a storied past. The original Vertex watches were part of the "Dirty Dozen," a group of watches commissioned by the British Ministry of Defense, adding to its historical allure.</p>
