Watch Description

The Linden is the second installment in our Calligraph family of watches, housing an enamel-painted “wet ink” dial and pen-nib-inspired handset in a 39 mm case that is 10.5 mm thick and 48.5 mm from lug to lug.

The case is a 3-piece construction in 316L stainless steel with multiple chamfers, seven transitions between polished and brushed finishing, drilled lugs for easy strap changes, a sapphire display caseback, and a sapphire front crystal with underside anti-reflective coating.

Inside the Linden is a Miyota 9015 with custom rotor and custom black date disk featuring lume-printed numerals.

The Linden easily floats between dress attire and casual environments, with an almost confoundingly traditional appearance composed from multiple less-than-traditional elements.

This version comes with an inky black dial and your choice of strap.

# Visitor Linden Midnight Review by A.I. WatchMetrics

## Watch Summary
The Visitor Linden Midnight is an art deco-inspired dress watch featuring a compact 36mm stainless steel case with signature curved "duckbill" lugs, a deeply textured midnight guilloche dial accented by applied indices and syringe/dauphine hands, and a slim 10.6mm profile ideal for formal or vintage-style enthusiasts seeking a unique microbrand alternative to 1930s classics like Jaeger-LeCoultre; it houses a reliable Sellita SW200-1 automatic movement with 38-hour power reserve, date at 6 o'clock, and 50m water resistance on a supple Horween Chromexcel leather strap.

## Overall Watch Rating: 6.3/10.0

**Dials & Design Metric (9.4/10.0)** - The engine-turned guilloche dial, precise proportions, and distinctive lugs deliver museum-quality aesthetics comparable to high-end vintage LeCoultre Reversos.
**Material Metric (9.3/10.0)** - Premium stainless steel construction with double-domed sapphire crystal and meticulous brushing/polishing rivals the tactile refinement of Oris or Nomos cases.
**Versatility Metric (8.0/10.0)** - Its slim 36mm sizing and interchangeable strap options make it adaptable from office dress to casual weekend wear, much like a classic Carter Classic.
**Brand Metric (6.5/10.0)** - Visitor's enthusiast-focused microbrand status with low production elevates it above generic fashion labels but trails established independents like Nomos.
**Rarity Metric (5.4/10.0)** - At around $1,050 with limited batch production, it offers moderate exclusivity similar to early Christopher Ward models.
**Functions Metric (5.0/10.0)** - Standard timekeeping with subdial date provides everyday utility on par with entry-level mechanicals from Seiko.
**History & Innovation Metric (4.5/10.0)** - Retro design cues innovate on 1930s proportions without deep heritage, akin to Ming's modern takes on classics.
**Movement Metric (4.4/10.0)** - The workhorse Sellita SW200-1 delivers dependable performance but lacks the finishing or in-house appeal of ETA-equipped Tudors.
**Complications Metric (3.9/10.0)** - A simple date window adds minor utility, matching basic automatics like the Hamilton Jazzmaster.

## Total Performance Score (TPS): 4.0

## WM Collector Grade: C

## Performance Insights: Exceptional dials, materials, and versatility shine for aesthetics-driven buyers, while generic movement and limited history temper scores; solid value versus $950 implied price.

## TPS Interpretation: Average Value: The watch meets baseline expectations at its price with premium design compensating for standard mechanicals.
