Von Doren started with a Swiss wristwatch that spoke across generations. At the age of 12, founder Øyvind VonDoren Asbjørnsen was gifted his great-grandfather's treasured Swiss watch. This sparked a passion in young VonDoren to begin reading about notable timepieces. Today, Von Doren creates distinct, high-quality timepieces with a touch of vintage flair. Each watch is inspired by VonDoren's Norwegian heritage, and brought to life by the finest Swiss movements.
This collection is named after the bird island of Runde outside of Ålesund, Norway. Runde has the most unique and varied population of seabirds in Scandinavia, and is also known as “Treasure Island” because of findings of gold found in the shipwreck of Akerendam, a Dutch ship that sank in 1725.
This elegant collection has a distinguished classic look and is available in a range of colorways and case finishes. All dials feature a sunburst effect that changes appearance after the lighting conditions around you.
