Collector Description

8 years in. A little bit of everything.

From left to right, starting on top row and then to bottom: Maurice Lacroix Phase De Lune Les Classiques - acquired in ~2018. I liked this watch as a broke college student and tracked it down some years later. love this one, but cannot find the right strap to go with it.

Omega Speed Master Sapphire Sandwich- not too much to say. Classic.

Zenith Chronomaster Original - bought to celebrate first child. One of my favorites.

1960s Wakmann Triple Date - newest acquisition. Val72C movement. What’s not to love.

Tag Heuer Carrera 1887 - wedding present from my wife. Been getting more wrist time on leather than the bracelet.

Oris Big Crown Pointer Date - first nice watch I ever bought myself. Getting the least amount of wear right now.

Oris 65 - another blue oris. This one is my “beater” and get the most activity in the lake, with yard work… etc

Tudor BB 58 - uncle Seiko bracelet is doing it for me right now.

Mido Decompression Timer 1961 Rerelease - felt a wanted a diver with a light/spring feel to it. This one hits all the boxes. Fantastic.

Sarb017 - not much to say on this one. Good, dependable and classic.

Add a dedicated GMT traveler like a Grand Seiko Snowflake to expand worldtime functionality beyond the Mido. 2. Incorporate one true vintage 1960s original to amplify the retro theme and historical allure. 3. Include a minimalist dress watch from Nomos or Junghans to balance the tool-heavy focus with formal elegance. ## Downsizing Advice With 10 watches leaning chrono/diver heavy, downsize to 6-7 by selling the Mido Ocean Star (least iconic worldtimer), Wakmann (niche vintage overlap), Tag Heuer Carrera (redundant chrono), and one Oris (keep the Pointer Date over Divers Sixty-Five for uniqueness); retain the Omega, Zenith, Tudor BB58, Seiko Alpinist, Maurice Lacroix moonphase, and Oris Pointer to preserve theme, variety, and icons while freeing ~$10k for upgrades. ## Watch by Watch Summary - **Maurice Lacroix Les Classiques Moonphase**: Elegant moonphase complication in a refined steel case makes it the collection's dress standout for formal occasions. - **Omega Moonwatch Professional Co-Axial Master Chronometer Chronograph 42 Mm**: Legendary Speedmaster with METAS-certified 3861 movement serves as the halo piece for space heritage and precision timing. - **Zenith Chronomaster Original**: Compact 38mm El Primero powerhouse delivers high-beat chronograph excellence in vintage packaging. - **Wakmann Triple-Date Chronograph**: Rare 1960s vibe with triple calendar and chrono adds vintage patina and collector appeal. - **Tag Heuer Carrera 1887**: Reliable CH80-powered racer chrono fits seamlessly as a motorsport-inspired daily wearer. - **Oris Big Crown Pointer Date Calibre 403**: In-house open-heart pointer date in pilot styling offers unique complication and aviation heritage. - **Oris Divers Sixty-Five**: Retro 1960s diver with blued cathedral hands provides fun, affordable compression of classic dive aesthetics. - **Tudor Black Bay Fifty-Eight**: Iconic 39mm "Snowflake" diver with 70h power reserve excels as the versatile everyday hero. - **Mido Ocean Star Decompression Worldtimer**: Affordable 80h worldtimer diver brings practical travel utility to the tool roster. - **Seiko Prospex Alpinist**: Rugged field watch with cathedral hands and compass bezel anchors the adventure end of the spectrum. **A.I.
