Collector Description

Just curious: would you go anywhere, do anything with any of my watches?

The first is a Casio Duro, rated to 200m water resistance. Screw-down crown. Steel case, mineral crystal lens. Casio 2784 Quartz movement.

The second is an Addiesdive MY-H6. Has a helium escape valve and is supposedly good down to 1000m. 316L steel, sapphire crystal lens. NH35 automatic.

The third is a Citizen Attesa CA0836-68E. 100m WR. Sapphire lens. B612 Eco-Drive movement.

I purchased the Duro as a cheap beater/expendable watch that I could wear if I ever felt the Attesa was too much. However, I found myself really loving this watch and opted to designate it as a semi-casual/date night/business casual watch. Even at $55, I found myself not wanting to beat this one up!

Enter the Addiesdive. I got it because it looked durable, had a sapphire lens, had killer C3 lume and was an inexpensive introduction to automatics. The 1000m WR and helium escape valve I do not put much stock in. This watch will never see anything beyond snorkeling/skin diving, so if it can handle that I am happy. I just wanted a cool diver that could handle getting beat up a little. I'll be testing the water resistance of this watch down to about 3 meters when I land in Miami next week. 😎

Now, for the Attesa. This was my first nice watch purchase. I wear it semi-casually, date nights and anywhere a nice watch is acceptable. Because it isn't a true dress watch with minimal WR, this sporty little gadget could probably go anywhere... would I? Unlikely.

Thanks for reading!

A.I. Collection Review:
# 3 Watch Collection - Casio (33%) / Addiesdive (33%) / Citizen (33%) Review by A.I. WatchMetrics ## Collection Summary This budget-oriented collection unites three capable dive watches that prioritize tool-like durability, exceptional water resistance from 200m to 1000m, and practical legibility, targeting cost-conscious adventurers who value function over flash; movements span basic quartz, workhorse automatic, and innovative solar-powered quartz for varied reliability. **"Budget Diver Beater Trio"** ## Overall Collection Rating: 6.1/10.0 **Brand Metric (4.5/10.0)** - Blending reliable mid-tier names like Casio and Citizen with an entry-level microbrand lands it at average prestige, comparable to a standard Seiko or Hamilton lineup. **History & Innovation Metric (5.2/10.0)** - The Casio Duro's cult status provides some historical pull, tempered by the homage microbrand and Citizen's solid solar tech, hitting just above a typical Tissot PRX set. **Rarity Metric (3.2/10.0)** - Everyday mass-produced pricing dominates, with only the Addiesdive's microbrand status offering minor scarcity, similar to common Citizen Promaster divers. **Material Metric (8.2/10.0)** - Strong breadth in super titanium, sapphire crystals, and ceramic accents elevates it well beyond basic stainless steel divers like the Seiko 5 Sports. **Movement Metric (7.5/10.0)** - Diverse options from reliable quartz to NH35 automatic and Eco-Drive solar deliver solid performance variety, outperforming uniform quartz collections. **Complications Metric (3.0/10.0)** - Limited to basic date windows across the board keeps it average for tool watches, akin to entry-level divers without chronos or GMTs. **Functions Metric (6.8/10.0)** - Solid dive bezels, timekeeping, and solar perpetuity provide good utility, matching mid-tier adventure watches like the Hamilton Khaki. **Dials & Design Metric (6.7/10.0)** - Legible dive motifs with good lume and bezel functionality shine, though homage aesthetics hold it to levels seen in Oris divers. **Versatility Metric (7.3/10.0)** - Excellent as sports and adventure pieces with strap versatility, it edges out style-locked dress watch sets. **Cohesiveness Metric (8.5/10.0)** - Tight diver theme and shared tool ethos create excellent harmony, surpassing eclectic personal collections. ## Total Performance Score (TPS): 4.1 ## TPS Interpretation: Modest Value: The collection offers decent material and cohesion perks but doesn't fully exceed price-expected performance in brand or complications. ## WM Collector Grade: C ## Performance Insights: Material, movement diversity, and cohesiveness stand out as strengths, offsetting weaker brand prestige and rarity for fair budget value against its ~$200 average implied price. ## Collection Type by Style Diver (100%) / Tool (100%) / Sports (67%) / Adventure (33%) ## Collection Type by Movement Quartz (33%) / Automatic (33%) / Solar Quartz (33%) ## Collection Strengths - Outstanding value-for-money tool watches with pro-level water resistance and modern materials like super titanium. - High material quality and movement variety punch above the low price point. - Strong thematic unity makes it a purposeful, gap-free diver rotation. ## Ideas for Improvement 1. Introduce a higher-end luxury diver (e.g., Tudor Pelagos) to add aspiration and elevate brand prestige. 2. Diversify with a GMT or field watch for broader travel/adventure coverage. 3. Swap the homage for an original design microbrand to boost innovation and reduce derivative feel. ## Downsizing Advice This tight trio has no weak links for a budget tool focus—keep all three for complete WR progression (200m/1000m/solar tech); if forced to downsize to two, drop the Casio Duro as the Citizen and Addiesdive cover premium and extreme specs better. ## Watch by Watch Summary - **Casio Duro**: Iconic quartz beater delivers 200m WR and classic dive style at unbeatable ~$70 value. - **Addiesdive 1000M Pro Diver MY-H6**: Microbrand standout with insane 1000m rating, NH36 auto, and sapphire for ~$140 pro specs. - **Citizen Attesa Super Titanium**: Premium closer via lightweight DLC titanium, Eco-Drive solar, and advanced sync at ~$400. **A.I.
