Collector Description

Jaeger-Lecoultre Reverso Classique, Lemania 2310 (circa 1960’s), Tudor Black Bay GMT. Not all my watches but the three I have with me in a new city. I appreciate the variation and getting to have a different watch I love on my wrist each day. Lemania chronos are found in many of the best Swiss watches, and I am a huge fan of this underrated maker. That might be my favorite at the moment. I believe the dial has been redone but done well, and the 2310 movement is drop-dead gorgeous and still keeps perfect time.

A.I. Collection Review:
# 3 Watch Collection - Jaeger-LeCoultre (33%) / Lemania (33%) / Tudor (33%) Review by A.I. WatchMetrics ## Collection Summary This curated three-watch collection elegantly fuses the art deco sophistication of the Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso, the robust vintage chronograph heritage of the Lemania 2310, and the robust modern utility of the Tudor Black Bay GMT, appealing to discerning collectors who value mechanical complications, historical depth, and versatile daily wearers across dress, sport, and travel styles. **"Complication Heritage Trio"** ## Overall Collection Rating: 7.8/10.0 **Brand Metric (7.7/10.0)** - Jaeger-LeCoultre's luxury stature paired with Tudor's entry-luxury reliability and Lemania's niche historical appeal creates a strong brand foundation, on par with Oris or Christopher Ward enthusiast sets. **History & Innovation Metric (8.3/10.0)** - The Reverso's patented 1931 reversible case design, Lemania 2310's influential column-wheel chronograph legacy, and Tudor's evolution of Rolex GMT codes deliver exceptional historical weight, rivaling Omega's professional lineup heritage. **Rarity Metric (6.6/10.0)** - With secondary prices averaging around $4,400 and a mix of ongoing limited production plus discontinued vintage scarcity, rarity lands solidly average, similar to Hamilton or Sinn secondary market pieces. **Material Metric (8.4/10.0)** - Stainless steel cases across the board with sapphire crystals (mineral on the vintage Lemania), brushed finishing, and solid builds score highly for depth, with moderate breadth from subtle variations akin to Grand Seiko sport models. **Movement Metric (8.9/10.0)** - High finishing on the JLC Caliber 822 manual, precise Lemania 2310 chronograph, and Tudor's in-house MT5652 automatic with 70-hour reserve provide outstanding depth and good diversity, outperforming typical Seiko or Citizen automatics. **Complications Metric (7.8/10.0)** - The Lemania's triple-register chronograph, Tudor's independent GMT, and Reverso's unique case mechanism offer strong complication variety and execution, comparable to TAG Heuer Carrera collections. **Functions Metric (6.9/10.0)** - Core timekeeping plus chronograph subdials, GMT hand/bezel, and date functionality across the set deliver above-average utility, matching mid-tier Hamilton field watches. **Dials & Design Metric (8.9/10.0)** - Iconic reversible art deco dial on the Reverso, vintage triple-register layout on the Lemania, and domed Pepsi chapter ring on the Tudor exhibit exceptional originality and legibility, on level with IWC pilot designs. **Versatility Metric (8.1/10.0)** - Spanning formal boardroom wear, vintage sport timing, and adventure travel, the collection's depth and style breadth make it highly adaptable, like a Longines Spirit assortment. **Cohesiveness Metric (6.8/10.0)** - Loose thematic unity around mechanical complications and heritage tempers diverse styles from dress to tool, scoring moderately like a mixed Tudor/Omega personal rotation. ## Total Performance Score (TPS): 9.9 ## TPS Interpretation: Exceptional Value: The collection dramatically exceeds performance expectations for its average price point, blending luxury complications and history far above comparable sets. ## WM Collector Grade: A+ ## Performance Insights: Dominates in movement, design, and innovation with solid materials and versatility, delivering outstanding value via near-max TPS that implies a $25,000+ equivalent pricing for this level of quality. ## Collection Type by Style Dress/Formal (Reverso dominance), Vintage Chronograph/Sports (Lemania), GMT/Travel/Tool/Diver (Tudor) – a balanced triad emphasizing collector appeal over strict uniformity. ## Collection Type by Movement Manual Wind (JLC Reverso Cal. 822/2, ~45h reserve), Manual Chronograph (Lemania 2310, ~48h reserve), Automatic GMT (Tudor MT5652, 70h reserve) – heavily manual-focused with chronograph and travel diversity. ## Collection Strengths - Exceptional mechanical pedigree with in-house and historical movements across all pieces. - Iconic, recognizable designs that stand out in any rotation. - Strong versatility for daily-to-special-occasion wear. - High collector value retention due to Reverso and vintage Lemania rarity. ## Ideas for Improvement 1. Add a shared color scheme or bezel motif (e.g., another Pepsi GMT) to visually tie the sportier pieces together. 2. Include a dedicated leather-strap dress chronograph to bridge the Reverso and Lemania stylistically. 3. Diversify with a high-frequency quartz for low-maintenance everyday reliability. ## Downsizing Advice If reducing to two watches, prioritize the Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso for irreplaceable elegance and the Tudor Black Bay GMT for versatile modern utility, as the Lemania 2310, while charming, is the most niche and maintenance-intensive. ## Watch by Watch Summary **Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Classic Manual Wind:** Timeless reversible rectangular icon with slim manual Caliber 822/2, perfect for engraving and formal sophistication at 30m water resistance. **Lemania 2310 Triple Register Chronograph:** Rare vintage manual chronograph featuring the column-wheel 2310 movement with classic 30-min/12-hour/small seconds registers, embodying mid-century racing heritage. **Tudor Black Bay GMT:** Robust 41mm Pepsi-bezel tool watch powered by COSC-certified MT5652 automatic, offering 200m dive capability and independent GMT for globetrotting adventurers. **A.I.
