3 - Marloe / Farer / Christopher Ward - 202404280021
Collector Description

I hereby present you with my trio of British Micro Brands.

On the left it is the Marloe Coniston on a beads of rice after market bracelet. This was my first ever watch. It is “cheap” and cheerful with a unique design. I never liked it on any strap and the Marloe bracelets are really bad. I think I found the right match with the beads of rice.

In the centre my Farer Carnegie manually wound chronograph. I love how Farer stands out with their design and their playful, yet stylish ways with colour. I use it mainly during summer months.

On the right my Christopher Ward Sealander C63 in a limited edition yellow colour. Small and rather dressy especially on the Consort bracelet, which i really love on this watch.

A.I. Collection Review:
# 3 Watch Collection - Marloe (33%) / Farer (33%) / Christopher Ward (33%) Review by A.I. WatchMetrics ## Collection Summary This compact collection highlights emerging British horology through Marloe's rugged field watch, Farer's bold chronograph sport, and Christopher Ward's limited-edition automatic sport model, united by Sellita movements, stainless steel builds, and a shared tool-watch spirit aimed at enthusiasts seeking affordable indie flair over mainstream luxury. **"British Indie Tool Trio"** ## Overall Collection Rating: 6.6/10.0 **Brand Metric (6.6/10.0)** - Blending high-premium British independents like Christopher Ward and Farer delivers respectable prestige, on par with a Sinn or Oris entry lineup. **Dials & Design Metric (8.3/10.0)** - Eye-catching, colorful dials with British eccentricity stand out, surpassing many peers like Citizen Eco-Drive models in visual appeal. **Versatility Metric (7.8/10.0)** - The sporty field, chrono, and automatic profiles cover daily to active scenarios effectively, rivaling a Tudor Black Bay's adaptability. **Material Metric (7.8/10.0)** - Uniform stainless steel cases paired with sapphire crystals ensure durable, premium tactility, matching Oris diver standards. **Cohesiveness Metric (7.8/10.0)** - A clear UK tool-watch theme binds the set seamlessly, outperforming random multi-brand assortments. **Movement Metric (6.6/10.0)** - Reliable Sellita mechanicals provide solid if unexceptional performance, akin to Hamilton Khaki internals. **Functions Metric (6.2/10.0)** - Practical time-plus-chrono-and-date setup offers everyday utility, comparable to a Seiko Prospex basic. **Rarity Metric (4.6/10.0)** - One limited edition boosts interest amid standard runs, landing at typical mid-tier availability like Tissot PRX. **History & Innovation Metric (4.5/10.0)** - Youthful brands bring fresh designs but minimal legacy, echoing early microbrand efforts. **Complications Metric (5.3/10.0)** - The chronograph adds modest complexity, aligning with entry-level sports watches like Longines Spirit. ## Total Performance Score (TPS): 4.0 ## TPS Interpretation: Fair Value: The collection punches at expected levels for its ~$1,100 average price with strong aesthetics offsetting average history and functions. ## WM Collector Grade: C ## Performance Insights: Excels in design, materials, and thematic unity for stylish mid-tier appeal, but rarity and heritage trail; delivers honest value without overpromising. ## Collection Type by Style Tool Watches (dominant: field, chronograph sport, integrated sport) with Sports and Adventure leanings. ## Collection Type by Movement Mechanical Sellita derivatives (two manual wind, one automatic). ## Collection Strengths - Distinctive British dial aesthetics across all pieces. - Balanced tool-watch focus with good daily wearability. - Quality materials and limited edition rarity in a compact set. - Affordable entry to indie UK horology. ## Ideas for Improvement 1. Introduce a quartz or in-house movement for diversity. 2. Add a formal or vintage-inspired watch to broaden versatility. 3. Incorporate titanium or precious metals for material variety. ## Downsizing Advice Downsize to the Farer chronograph (unique complication) and Christopher Ward LE (rarity and versatility) for a punchier duo; the Marloe Coniston is solid but most easily replaced by similar field watches. ## Watch by Watch Summary **Marloe Coniston**: Compact 40mm manual field watch with sapphire caseback and Morloprene strap excels as a budget adventure beater. **Farer Carnegie Chronograph Sport**: Vibrant 42mm manual chronograph on Sellita SW510 brings sporty complication and 100m resistance with standout style. **Christopher Ward C63 Sealander Automatic LE-200**: Sleek 39mm limited-edition automatic with 150m WR and date offers refined everyday sports utility. **A.I.
