Collector Description

The Doxa is a 300t sea scrambler. I bought that one because of the movie Sahara had an organge dial Doxa. I really liked the watch for 10yrs.

The Oris Aquis Datei s a titanium case with ceramic bezel.

The Tag Huer Aquaracer GMT is something I just bought.

I just recently began collecting during the pandemic.

A.I. Collection Review:
# 3 Watch Collection - Oris (33%) / Doxa (33%) / Tag Heuer (33%) Review by A.I. WatchMetrics ## Collection Summary This trio forms a cohesive lineup of professional 300m dive watches tailored for the rugged enthusiast: the Oris Aquis Date Caliber 400 brings innovative in-house power and anti-magnetism, the Doxa Sub 300T Scrambler delivers lightweight titanium with iconic cushion flair, and the Tag Heuer Aquaracer Professional 300 GMT adds practical travel utility via its ceramic bezel and dual-time function—all powered by reliable automatics with power reserves from 38 to 120 hours, emphasizing legibility, durability, and aquatic prowess. **"Elite 300m Dive Triad"** ## Overall Collection Rating: 7.3/10.0 **Brand Metric (6.9/10.0)** - Oris, Doxa, and Tag Heuer blend high-premium niche expertise with entry-level luxury heritage, on par with a Sinn-Christopher Ward-Tudor assortment. **History & Innovation Metric (7.2/10.0)** - Doxa's pioneering Sub cushion legacy pairs with Oris' Caliber 400 breakthroughs in power reserve and anti-magnetism, rivaling Omega's dive evolution. **Rarity Metric (5.5/10.0)** - Secondary market pricing around $2,600 average positions these as accessible production divers, similar to Hamilton Khaki Navy mid-tier scarcity. **Material Metric (9.0/10.0)** - Grade 2 titanium, 316L steel, sapphire with AR coating, ceramic bezels, and polished-brushed finishes match premium Omega Seamaster standards. **Movement Metric (5.8/10.0)** - Oris' superior in-house Cal 400 elevates the Sellita-based duo, delivering Tissot Seastar-level reliability with one standout performer. **Complications Metric (4.5/10.0)** - Modest date and GMT offerings provide basic utility, akin to entry-level Seiko Prospex divers. **Functions Metric (8.2/10.0)** - Robust dive timing, legibility, and GMT travel functions excel for adventure use, comparable to Tudor Pelagos versatility. **Dials & Design Metric (8.5/10.0)** - Bold lume dials, rotating bezels, and proportional sporty cases with unique signatures shine like refined Blancpain Fifty Fathoms contemporaries. **Versatility Metric (8.5/10.0)** - Bracelet-to-rubber adaptability suits desk dives to globetrotting, echoing Rolex Submariner all-scenario prowess. **Cohesiveness Metric (9.0/10.0)** - Uniform 300m tool-dive theme with complementary rugged aesthetics creates tighter synergy than a disparate Seiko sampler. ## Collection Type by Style Predominantly Tool and Adventure (90%), with strong Sports and Travel accents from the GMT, ideal for active lifestyles demanding durability and function over flash. ## Collection Type by Movement Fully automatic mechanical: proprietary in-house (Oris Caliber 400 with 120h reserve), and two Swiss-modified ETA/Sellita workhorses (38-42h reserves), emphasizing reliability over quartz or manual diversity. ## Collection Strengths - Uniform 300m water resistance and helium compatibility for true pro-dive confidence. - Premium materials like titanium and ceramic ensuring lightweight toughness. - Tight thematic focus on legible, bezel-driven tool watches with real-world utility. ## Ideas for Improvement 1. Add a slimmer field or dress watch to balance for non-dive occasions. 2. Incorporate a chronograph or higher-complication piece for functional variety. 3. Diversify with a vintage reissue to deepen historical and stylistic range. ## Downsizing Advice This lean, complementary set shines without excess—retain all three for optimal coverage; if downsizing to two, prioritize the Oris for movement excellence and drop the Doxa to avoid titanium overlap. ## Watch by Watch Summary - **Oris Aquis Date Caliber 400**: Revolutionizes the diver category with 120-hour reserve, extreme anti-magnetism, and sleek 43.5mm steel execution. - **Doxa Sub 300T Scrambler**: Lightweight 39mm titanium icon with cushion case, orange pop dial, and distinctive Conquistador bezel for standout adventure. - **Tag Heuer Professional 300 GMT**: Versatile 43mm GMT powerhouse with ceramic bezel, comfy bracelet, and traveler-ready dual-time in robust steel. ## Total Performance Score (TPS): 4.0 ## TPS Interpretation: Fair Value: The collection delivers competent pro-dive performance aligned with its mid-tier secondary pricing. ## WM Collector Grade: C+ ## Performance Insights: Shines in materials, design, versatility, and dive cohesiveness for a unified tool set; movements and complications trail premium peers; holds steady value near the $2,600 per-watch implied price. **A.I.
