Collector Description

What are your thoughts on my 3 watch collection? What could I improve?

Seiko 5 - This is my inexpensive work/travel watch that I don’t have to worry about. I put a rubber band on it for a little extra durability.

Tissot PRX - I’m not sure if this classifies as a dress watch but I wanted something with a sleek design and nice metal bracelet for more formal events, also wanted it to stand out a bit so I opted for the blue dial.

IWC Pilot 3706 - My most expensive watch. Got this as more of a keepsake item, since it’s got a lot of history and a cool story behind it. Went with a nato band to give it a more military/vintage look, I dress it up with a nice black leather for occasions.

A.I. Collection Review:
# 3 Watch Collection - Seiko (33%) / Tissot (33%) / IWC (34%) Review by A.I. WatchMetrics ## Collection Summary This trio forms an eclectic sports-oriented collection progressing from the budget-friendly Seiko 5 Sports diver for tool-watch duties, through the compact and elegant Tissot PRX Powermatic 80 for versatile daily wear, to the premium IWC Fliegerchronograph 3706 pilot chronograph as a heritage highlight, blending reliability, style, and luxury with moderate thematic unity around mechanical adventurers. **"Tiered Sports Mechanical Trio"** ## Overall Collection Rating: 6.7/10.0 **Dials & Design Metric (8.1/10.0)** - Exceptional aesthetics from the PRX's sleek integrated look, Seiko's bold diver dial, and IWC's iconic ivory pilot layout rival curated Tudors or Cartiers in visual appeal. **Versatility Metric (8.2/10.0)** - Covers rugged diving, urban casual, and aviation timing needs across sizes and vibes, outperforming single-genre sets like all-Rolex divers. **Material Metric (7.6/10.0)** - Stainless steel dominance with sapphire crystals on the Tissot and IWC (Hardlex on Seiko) and quality brushing matches robust mid-lux builds like Oris or Nomos. **Movement Metric (7.1/10.0)** - Reliable automatics shine with Tissot's 80-hour Powermatic 80, Seiko's proven 4R36, and IWC's modified Valjoux 7750 chrono, akin to ETA-powered Swiss workhorses. **Functions Metric (6.8/10.0)** - Strong readability, 200m dive capability on Seiko, and IWC's chrono utility provide everyday prowess comparable to Hamilton Khaki or Citizen Promasters. **History & Innovation Metric (6.8/10.0)** - IWC's storied Flieger heritage leads, bolstered by Tissot's Powermatic longevity and Seiko's auto reliability, surpassing basic microbrand histories. **Brand Metric (6.2/10.0)** - Mid-tier Seiko and Tissot accessibility pairs well with IWC luxury, echoing a smart Hamilton-Christopher Ward-Pilot mix. **Cohesiveness Metric (6.4/10.0)** - Loose sports/tool theme connects the diver, integrated, and pilot, but style jumps limit synergy versus tight Omega or Breitling stacks. **Rarity Metric (5.2/10.0)** - IWC 3706's limited 1990s production elevates it, offsetting common Seiko and Tissot, like adding a grail to everyday beaters. **Complications Metric (4.2/10.0)** - Basic dates dominate with IWC's chronograph/day-date as the star, trailing multi-comp Longines or Zenith offerings. ## Collection Type by Style - Adventure/Tool (Diver): 1 (Seiko SRPD95) - Sports/Elegant (Integrated): 1 (Tissot PRX) - Aviation (Pilot Chronograph): 1 (IWC 3706) ## Collection Type by Movement - Automatic Mechanical: 3 ## Collection Strengths - Broad price and style spectrum delivers high everyday versatility without redundancy. - Above-average movements and power reserves (up to 80 hours) ensure reliability across tiers. - Standout designs and the rare IWC provide collector bragging rights and visual wow. ## Ideas for Improvement 1. Introduce a shared theme like all-divers or pilots to boost wear rotation and display cohesion. 2. Add higher water resistance or GMT functions to enhance travel/adventure utility. 3. Incorporate a manual-wind or high-complication piece for added mechanical diversity and excitement. ## Downsizing Advice This lean trio excels in coverage, so avoid downsizing unless space-constrained—prioritize keeping the IWC for luxury anchor and Tissot for daily driver, potentially rotating out the Seiko for a more unified mid-lux pair if focusing on elegance over rugged tools. ## Watch by Watch Summary **Seiko 5 Sports SRPD95**: Punchy automatic diver with 200m resistance and reliable 4R36 movement offers unbeatable value for active tool-watch fans. **Tissot PRX Powermatic 80 35mm**: Compact integrated beauty with 80-hour power reserve and sapphire elegance bridges sport and dress seamlessly at a steal. **IWC Fliegerchronograph 3706**: Collectible 1990s pilot chrono with ivory dial and Valjoux-based heart delivers premium heritage and flyback utility. ## Total Performance Score (TPS): 4.0 ## TPS Interpretation: Modest Value: The collection aligns closely with performance expectations for its ~$1,700 average price, excelling in design and versatility while complications remain baseline. ## WM Collector Grade: C ## Performance Insights: Design, versatility, and materials lead for strong appeal, delivering slight overperformance versus an implied price of ~$2,200; bolster functions for A-grade potential. **A.I.
