Collector Description

My Autumn 3 Watch Collection

Hi guys, this is my 3 Watch Collection, which I've had for about a year now and I'm still excited about it. I don't feel like I need more, but never say never :-)

Tudor Blackbay 58

I bought the watch last year in October. We bought a house 5 years ago and due to the market situation, we were able to make some profit from the sale. So for me it was the reward for a good investment and my absolute dream watch.

2. Sinn 556i

I've always wanted the 556i since it came on the market in 2009. It has been with me for some time now and has already experienced a lot. A real Daily Rocker, who is also allowed to get a scratch without me spilling a tear. That only makes the watch more interesting for me. I also really love the simplicity.

3. Junkers Ju52 „Wellenblech“

The Junkers is the most valuable watch for me, as it was one of my wife's first gifts. In addition to several other watches I bought and sold, I would never think of it with this one. It is now about 15 years old and runs like on the first day. Simply beautiful.

Hope you like my little collection. Let me know what you think or add next.

A.I. Collection Review:
# 3 Watch Collection - Sinn (33%) / Junkers (33%) / Tudor (33%) Review by A.I. WatchMetrics ## Collection Summary This 3-watch collection centers on rugged tool watches with strong aviation heritage from German brands Sinn and Junkers, rounded out by Tudor's iconic compact diver for added underwater capability, targeting the practical enthusiast collector who prioritizes durability, legibility, and subtle historical nods over flash; movements span reliable quartz in the Junkers with automatic ETA and in-house COSC calibers in the Sinn and Tudor offering 38–70 hours of power reserve. **"German Aviation Tool Trio"** ## Overall Collection Rating: 6.1/10.0 **Dials & Design Metric (8.1/10.0)** - Exceptional aesthetics from Junkers' corrugated homage, Sinn's clean pilot layout, and Tudor's vintage diver charm surpass many Omega Seamaster tool watches. **Versatility Metric (7.9/10.0)** - Highly adaptable for daily wear, field adventures, and diving across pilots and a true diver, rivaling the flexibility of a Citizen Promaster lineup. **Material Metric (7.6/10.0)** - Robust stainless steel cases with Sinn's tegiment hardening, sapphire crystals (mineral on Junkers), and quality finishing deliver premium build quality like premium Oris divers. **Cohesiveness Metric (7.2/10.0)** - Tight thematic bond via aviation/tool watch ethos and German engineering vibe, with Tudor fitting seamlessly as a vintage complement. **Brand Metric (6.3/10.0)** - Balanced prestige from Tudor's entry luxury, Sinn's high-premium tool status, and Junkers' niche affordability echoes a Christopher Ward assortment. **History & Innovation Metric (6.2/10.0)** - Respectable aviation legacies and material innovations like tegimenting provide established appeal similar to IWC pilot series. **Movement Metric (6.4/10.0)** - Solid mix of Tudor's in-house COSC auto, Sinn's ETA workhorse, and Junkers' accurate quartz matches the reliability of Seiko 5 Sports sets. **Functions Metric (5.2/10.0)** - Basic time and date across the board offers reliable utility on par with standard Tissot PRX models. **Rarity Metric (4.5/10.0)** - Moderate pricing and production volumes in the thousands yield average exclusivity like Hamilton Khaki Field watches. **Complications Metric (1.8/10.0)** - No advanced complications beyond simple date placement keeps it basic, akin to entry-level three-handers from Timex or Casio. ## Total Performance Score (TPS): 4.0 ## TPS Interpretation: Modest Value: The collection excels in design and materials but underdelivers on functions and complications relative to its ~$1,500 average price per watch. ## WM Collector Grade: C ## Performance Insights: Strengths in dials & design, versatility, and materials highlight unique aesthetics and build quality from standout Tudor and Sinn pieces, offset by weak complications, functions, and rarity; overall it punches slightly above an implied ~$1,200 price point for enthusiast tool watches. ## Collection Type by Style - Pilot/Aviation/Tool: Sinn 556 I, Junkers Wellblech JU 52 - Diver: Tudor Black Bay Fifty-Eight ## Collection Type by Movement - Automatic: Sinn 556 I (ETA 2824-2, 38h power reserve), Tudor Black Bay Fifty-Eight (MT5402, 70h power reserve) - Quartz: Junkers Wellblech JU 52 (Ronda 515) ## Collection Strengths - Thematic consistency in aviation-inspired tool watches with real-world ruggedness and legibility. - Broad quality spectrum from budget entry (Junkers) to entry luxury (Tudor) offering growth potential. - Unique, non-flashy designs that emphasize function and heritage for daily rotation. ## Ideas for Improvement 1. Swap the quartz Junkers for a mechanical German pilot like another Sinn or Laco to unify movements. 2. Add a GMT complication watch to expand travel/adventure utility beyond basic pilots and diver. 3. Incorporate a slimmer dress or field watch to diversify beyond the all-sports/tool focus for better everyday balance. ## Downsizing Advice If reducing to two watches, retain the Sinn 556 I for pure pilot/tool excellence and Tudor Black Bay Fifty-Eight for versatile diving prestige, selling the Junkers Wellblech JU 52 as the weakest link in movement and build quality. For one watch, keep the Tudor Black Bay Fifty-Eight as the highest-prestige, most versatile piece with superior movement and heritage value. ## Watch by Watch Summary **Sinn 556 I**: Classic German pilot with tegimented steel, 100m water resistance, and reliable automatic for uncompromised tool performance. **Junkers Wellblech JU 52**: Affordable corrugated-case aviation tribute capturing JU52 plane aesthetics with precise quartz for casual themed wear. **Tudor Black Bay Fifty-Eight**: Compact 39mm diver icon with in-house COSC movement, 200m rating, and vintage Rolex-inspired design for premium daily luxury. **A.I.
