Collector Description

My current state of my collection. I have a few more interesting pieces coming but this is it at the moment.

What do you guys think? I have a few doubles as crazy as that may sound. I will have to do something about that.

I’m not into divers or chronographs so those will always be missing but I like pretty much anything else as long as it’s a unique design or character.

A.I. Collection Review:
# 5 Watch Collection - De Rijke Co (20%) / Halios (20%) / Ophion (20%) / Vario (20%) / Zelos (20%) Review by A.I. WatchMetrics ## Collection Summary This eclectic collection highlights limited-edition microbrand watches with bold, distinctive dials and indie craftsmanship, blending elegant dress pieces with versatile tool and travel watches, perfect for collectors seeking rare, characterful alternatives to mainstream brands featuring mostly automatic movements with 38-42 hour power reserves and strong water resistance up to 300m. **"Eclectic Micro LE Dials"** ## Overall Collection Rating: 7.3/10.0 **Brand Metric (6.5/10.0)** - A strong assortment of high-premium microbrands like Ophion and Halios delivers enthusiast appeal comparable to Christopher Ward or Sinn. **Rarity Metric (9.3/10.0)** - Ultra-limited runs as low as 40 pieces across the set outshine even many luxury brand special editions. **Dials & Design Metric (8.9/10.0)** - Exceptional unique dials from gilt spectre to salmon comet rival the creativity of top custom microbrands. **Material Metric (8.8/10.0)** - Consistent premium steel cases, sapphire crystals, and refined finishing match entry-level luxury standards like Tudor. **Versatility Metric (8.1/10.0)** - Effective mix from formal dress to rugged field and GMT watches covers most daily scenarios adeptly. **Movement Metric (8.0/10.0)** - Quality Sellita and Miyota automatics offer reliable performance on par with Oris or Longines entry models. **Cohesiveness Metric (7.9/10.0)** - Unified by microbrand rarity and daring dial designs despite style variety, creating a harmonious indie vibe. **Functions Metric (7.1/10.0)** - Solid basics plus GMT and moonphase provide practical utility similar to a Hamilton collection. **History & Innovation Metric (4.9/10.0)** - Niche micro innovations shine but lack the heritage depth of brands like Omega or Grand Seiko. **Complications Metric (3.2/10.0)** - Basic moonphase and GMT inclusion falls average without advanced features like those in Breitling sets. ## Total Performance Score (TPS): 4.0 ## TPS Interpretation: Good Value: The collection's rarity and design flair deliver above-expected performance for its average price point. ## WM Collector Grade: B- ## Performance Insights: Excels in rarity, dials, and materials for microbrand enthusiasts, providing solid value versus an implied price of ~$2,600 despite softer history and complications. ## Collection Type by Style - Dress/Formal: 3 (Ophion Gilt Spectre, De Rijke Co Miffy Moonphase, Vario Empire Tuxedo) - Tool/Adventure: 1 (Halios Universa Selenic Silver) - Sports/Travel: 1 (Zelos Comet Salmon) ## Collection Type by Movement - Automatic Mechanical: 5 - Sellita (SW200-1, SW300-1): 2 - Miyota (9015, 9075): 3 ## Collection Strengths - Phenomenal rarity from tiny limited editions ensures strong collectibility and appreciation potential. - Standout, artistic dials offer visual wow-factor unmatched in mass-market watches. - Broad quality spectrum from budget to premium with consistent high-end specs. ## Ideas for Improvement 1. Add a vintage-reissue or heritage microbrand for historical balance. 2. Incorporate a chronograph or diver for greater functional and style diversity. 3. Include one established luxury brand to elevate prestige alongside the indies. ## Downsizing Advice Keep the Ophion Gilt Spectre and De Rijke Miffy Moonphase for their premium pricing, extreme rarity, and liquidity on secondary markets; consider parting with the Vario Empire Tuxedo first as the most attainable and least unique in the set. ## Watch by Watch Summary - **Ophion Gilt Spectre LE-40**: Luxurious gilt dial in an ultra-rare 40-piece run elevates it to standout status. - **Zelos Comet Salmon LE-150**: Vibrant salmon dial pairs with accessible true GMT functionality and 200m dive capability. - **De Rijke Co Miffy Moonphase 'Not so famous blue' LE-100**: Charming blue Miffy-themed moonphase delivers premium Dutch craftsmanship. - **Vario Empire Tuxedo LE-60**: Compact art deco tuxedo elegance shines for formal wear at entry price. - **Halios Universa Selenic Silver Gen 1**: Textured selenic dial on a robust 300m field-diver hybrid offers tool-watch grit. **A.I.
