Collector Description

Tissot PRX quartz 35mm (Green dial) : I know people are a little sick of seeing the PRX here. I got it as a gift. Nice watch, I really like the dial color, it gets a lot of wrist time. My only concerns with this watch are the lack of micro adjustment and the fact that the bracelet scratches easily.

Citizen Tsuyosa (Yellow dial) : the design is not for everyone with the cyclop and the weird choice of bracelet for an integrated watch , but I really like it and the quality is really good for the price (I paid 250€).

Seiko Presage shap edgeg : this is by far my most worn watch. Very good looking, confortable, decent power reserve. Its also incredibly resistant to scratches and I am not particularly careful. The only thing that could be better is the dial color which is a little to dark. I got it for 650€ which is the steal for this level of quality in my opinion.

Henry Archer Akva (underwater green dial and black dlc case&bracelet) : this is my latest watch, first diver and first micro brand. Great specs and quality for the price (500€). I love how thin its is, very confortable. The only default is the very stiff bezel rotation. We will see how the dlc coating holds up in time, its supposed to be very résistant.

Seiko Presage SPB113J1 (white dial): this is my dress watch, I like the very clean design. The enamel dial looks really good in person. My concerns with this watch is the size, the diameter should be a little smaller (like 38mm vs 40mm) and it most importantly it should be thinner.

A.I. Collection Review:
# 5 Watch Collection - Seiko (40%) / Tissot (20%) / Citizen (20%) / Henry Archer (20%) Review by A.I. WatchMetrics ## Collection Summary This eclectic collection offers strong value in the sub-$1,000 range with a Japanese-heavy focus on elegant Presage dress watches, sporty integrated-bracelet pieces from Tissot and Citizen, and a capable microbrand diver from Henry Archer, blending dressy enamel dials and tool-watch utility for the everyday enthusiast who prioritizes affordability, wearability, and subtle style variety; power reserves span efficient quartz to 70-hour automatics, with water resistance up to 200m on the AKVA. **"Value Japanese Dress-Diver Mix"** ## Overall Collection Rating: 6.0/10.0 **Brand Metric (5.3/10.0)** - Reliable mid-tier brands like Seiko and Tissot deliver consistent quality comparable to a Hamilton or Citizen assortment at accessible prices. **History & Innovation Metric (4.5/10.0)** - Established lines like Seiko Presage offer niche appeal but lack the groundbreaking legacy of an Omega Speedmaster or Rolex Submariner. **Rarity Metric (3.5/10.0)** - Common production volumes keep rarity modest, similar to standard Seiko 5 or Tissot Seastar models without limited-edition exclusivity. **Material Metric (8.3/10.0)** - Stainless steel cases with sapphire crystals and solid finishing punch above weight, on par with higher-end Oris or Christopher Ward builds. **Movement Metric (6.4/10.0)** - A mix of workhorse Miyota and Seiko automatics plus quartz provides dependable performance akin to a standard Tissot Powermatic or Citizen Eco-Drive set. **Complications Metric (3.6/10.0)** - Basic time-and-date functions dominate without advanced features, matching entry-level automatics like the Seiko 5 Sports. **Functions Metric (6.0/10.0)** - Core timekeeping with occasional date handles daily needs effectively, like a typical Hamilton Khaki Field lineup. **Dials & Design Metric (8.2/10.0)** - Standout enamel and textured dials with integrated sport aesthetics rival the finesse of a Nomos Club Campus or Formex Essence. **Versatility Metric (7.8/10.0)** - Broad style coverage from office dress to weekend dives suits varied occasions better than a mono-style Tudor Black Bay collection. **Cohesiveness Metric (6.0/10.0)** - Loose thematic ties around value and Japanese influences create moderate harmony, akin to a mixed Seiko sampler but less unified than a mono-brand Oris set. ## Total Performance Score (TPS): 4.0 ## TPS Interpretation: Fair Value: The collection delivers expected performance for its average price point with strengths in materials and design offsetting average innovation. ## WM Collector Grade: C ## Performance Insights: Strengths in materials, dials, and versatility provide excellent daily wear value, while history, rarity, and complications lag; punches at or slightly above implied price for mid-tier enthusiasts. ## Collection Type by Style - Dress/Formal (40%): Seiko Presage SPB167 and SARX065 with refined enamel and cocktail aesthetics. - Sports (40%): Tissot PRX Quartz and Citizen Tsuyosa with integrated bracelets for casual elegance. - Adventure/Tool (20%): Henry Archer AKVA Underwater as the rugged diver standout. ## Collection Type by Movement - Automatic (80%): Citizen Tsuyosa (Miyota-based), Seiko Presage SPB167 (6R35, 70hr reserve), Henry Archer AKVA (Miyota 9015), Seiko Presage SARX065 (6R15). - Quartz (20%): Tissot PRX for low-maintenance accuracy. ## Collection Strengths - Exceptional value density with high-quality materials and designs under $1,000 average. - Strong versatility across dress, sports, and tool styles for all-occasion rotation. - Japanese movement reliability with modern integrated aesthetics appealing to enthusiasts. ## Ideas for Improvement 1. Introduce a higher-tier luxury piece like a Tudor or Oris to boost prestige and history. 2. Enhance cohesion by focusing on one style (e.g., all sports) or brand family. 3. Add complications like GMT or chronograph for functional depth. ## Downsizing Advice With five solid value watches, prioritize keeping the two unique Seiko Presage for dress occasions, the Citizen Tsuyosa for sporty daily wear, and Henry Archer AKVA for adventure—consider selling the Tissot PRX Quartz if quartz redundancy isn't needed, as the automatics cover similar ground with better long-term appeal. ## Watch by Watch Summary - **Tissot PRX Quartz ($395)**: Sleek integrated sports watch with quartz reliability and 100m water resistance, perfect for casual low-maintenance rotation. - **Citizen Tsuyosa Automatic ($450)**: Sporty integrated auto with smooth Miyota movement, offering great bang-for-buck aesthetics and wearability. - **Seiko Presage Automatic SPB167 ($1000)**: Sharp-edged cocktail dress watch with 70-hour 6R35 power reserve and textured dial for refined evenings. - **Henry Archer AKVA Underwater ($505)**: Robust 200m diver with Miyota 9015 and strong lume, the tool-watch hero of the set. - **Seiko Presage Enamel SARX065 ($945)**: Stunning white enamel dial dress piece with classic 6R15 automatic, elevating the collection's elegance. **A.I.
