Collector Description

Pretty content with the SOTC after 13 years of collecting.

Hamilton Khaki Field Auto - A gift from my wife about 10 years ago (then-girlfriend) when we were fresh out of grad school. The quintessential field watch in my opinion.

Rolex Explorer 214270 mk 1 - My most sentimental watch. It has been on wrist for the important events in my life. A GADA watch.

Seiko SKX013 - My most recent pick up. Outdoor activity watch. Fits my smaller wrist perfectly.

Zodiac Super Seawolf GMT - My summer watch. I have fun rotating the strap colors (blues and greys mostly) and materials (rubber and different leathers) on this one.

Patek Aquanaut - My most worn at the moment. Love the design and elegant clasp. Another GADA watch.

Rolex Day-Date - Inherited this watch. Love the Roman numerals and the sportier oyster bracelet. Special occasion watch.

I miss having a dress watch so may look to add one next. Probably a JLC or maybe a Vacheron. I’m also a big fan of Nomos.

Gone but not forgotten: Vacheron Overseas 4500v Patek 5196g Omega Speedy Pro (with 3861 movement) Seiko Alpinist Seiko SKX009 Seiko Turtle SRPB01K1 Casio F91W-1

A.I. Collection Review:
# 6 Watch Collection - Rolex (33%) / Hamilton (17%) / Seiko (17%) / Zodiac (17%) / Patek Philippe (17%) Review by A.I. WatchMetrics ## Collection Summary This eclectic six-watch collection blends rugged, affordable tool watches like field and dive models from Hamilton and Seiko with adventure icons from Rolex, a limited GMT diver from Zodiac, and high-luxury sports and dress pieces from Patek Philippe and Rolex, primarily powered by automatic mechanical movements with power reserves ranging from 41 to 80 hours, appealing to a versatile collector who values heritage, daily wearability, and aspirational prestige across budgets. **"Eclectic Tool-Luxury Heritage Blend"** ## Overall Collection Rating: 7.0/10.0 **Brand Metric (7.2/10.0)** - The brand lineup elevates from reliable mid-tier staples like Hamilton and Seiko to Rolex and Patek Philippe prestige, akin to a savvy enthusiast's bridge from everyday to investment-grade horology. **History & Innovation Metric (7.8/10.0)** - Packed with culturally significant pieces like the Explorer's expedition legacy and Aquanaut's modern sports evolution, it rivals curated sets from established collectors. **Rarity Metric (6.8/10.0)** - While the Patek and Zodiac limited edition boost scarcity, mass-produced staples like the Seiko pull it toward average compared to boutique collector ensembles. **Material Metric (8.2/10.0)** - Predominantly premium 316L stainless steel cases with sapphire crystals and varied finishing, plus gold and composite elements, matches the build quality of upper-mid-tier dive and sports collections. **Movement Metric (7.4/10.0)** - Solid automatic calibers from modified ETAs in Rolex to Patek's in-house 324 deliver reliable performance on par with Hamilton Khaki or Omega Seamaster sets. **Complications Metric (4.2/10.0)** - Limited to basic date, day-date, and GMT functions, it falls short of complication-rich collections like those featuring chronographs or moonphases. **Functions Metric (6.1/10.0)** - Core timekeeping with select date, day, and GMT utility provides everyday competence similar to a balanced Tissot or Oris lineup. **Dials & Design Metric (8.4/10.0)** - Iconic, legible dials from Super Sea Wolf's vintage pop to Aquanaut's embossed texture stand out like a Hodinkee-curated vintage-modern mix. **Versatility Metric (8.7/10.0)** - Spanning field, dive, adventure, sports, and dress occasions with strap versatility, it outperforms single-style collections like all-diver or all-dress sets. **Cohesiveness Metric (4.8/10.0)** - Lacking a tight theme amid price and style jumps from $300 divers to $55k luxury, it feels more like an evolving personal assortment than a unified display. ## Total Performance Score (TPS): 9.9 ## TPS Interpretation: Exceptional Value: The collection vastly overdelivers on versatility, design, and brand impact relative to its blended mid-five-figure price point. ## WM Collector Grade: A+ ## Performance Insights: Excels in versatility, dials/design, and materials anchored by luxury standouts, tempered by low cohesiveness and complications, yielding outstanding bang-for-buck against implied lower-market value. ## Collection Type by Style - Adventure/Field (33%): Hamilton Khaki Field, Rolex Explorer - Dive (33%): Seiko SKX013, Zodiac Super Sea Wolf GMT - Sports Luxury (17%): Patek Philippe Aquanaut - Dress (17%): Rolex President Day-Date ## Collection Type by Movement - Automatic Mechanical (100%): Hamilton H-10, Rolex 3175/3055, Seiko 7S26, Zodiac STP 3-40 GMT, Patek 324 S C ## Collection Strengths - Iconic heritage across budgets ensures storytelling and appreciation potential. - Broad versatility covers daily-to-formal wear without gaps. - Luxury anchors like Patek and Rolex provide strong resale value and prestige. ## Ideas for Improvement 1. Add a unifying theme, such as expanding divers or pilots, to boost display cohesion. 2. Incorporate higher complications like a chronograph for functional depth. 3. Balance with a microbrand or independent for added uniqueness without cost escalation. ## Downsizing Advice Prioritize the Patek Aquanaut, Rolex Explorer, and Seiko SKX013 as a core trio representing luxury sports, adventure icon, and budget tool watch—selling the others would retain 60% value and 100% style diversity in a more focused set. ## Watch by Watch Summary - **Hamilton Khaki Field Automatic 38**: Compact 38mm military-inspired field watch with 80-hour H-10 reserve for everyday rugged reliability. - **Rolex Explorer**: Legendary 36mm adventure bezel-less icon with robust automatic movement, epitomizing no-nonsense exploration. - **Seiko SKX013 Diver**: Tough 38mm 200m automatic diver with ISO compliance, the quintessential budget beater. - **Zodiac Super Sea Wolf GMT Hodinkee Exclusive LE-182**: Vintage-styled 500m GMT diver limited to 182 pieces, blending retro flair with travel utility. - **Patek Philippe Aquanaut 5167A**: Sleek steel sports model with embossed tropical dial, offering refined luxury toughness. - **Rolex President Day-Date 18028**: Opulent 36mm yellow gold dress watch with signature day-date, synonymous with ultimate status. **A.I.
