Collector Description

1.) Longines Presence, my first automatic watch. Was a Christmas gift and very sentimental to me. I’ll never sell this watch as I remember wearing it everyday in college after receiving it. No matter what I was wearing that day I had that watch on my wrist even though it is a dressier watch.

2.) Sinn 104 Anthracite, my first watch purchase for myself which also has significant sentimental value. This was purchased after reading about it non stop on this subreddit.

3.) Nomos Ahoi Siren White, the watch that started it all. I believe I saw a post about a Nomos watch from this sub Reddit and that just led me down the rabbit hole. This was a watch I purchased for myself when I graduated from my undergrad and will always cherish. My favorite watch brand and watch that I own to date.

4.) Cartier Santos Dumont Black Lacquer, my latest pickup and definitely the start of a Cartier bug. This was purchased to mark a significant promotion in my career. It’s a testament to my hard work and it just looks so beautiful.

5.) Tag Heuer Aquaracer Quartz, a gift from my father which I’ll never let out of my sight. My father always wears his older version of this aquaracer (which honestly I like a lot better). This was a gift to complete the family trio of aquaracers (my brother, my father and myself).

6.) Mr Jones Ricochet, a gift from my girlfriend for our anniversary. A surprise gift that definitely impressed me. The dial is so cool and it’s the perfect casual/summer watch. I can’t wait to wear it this summer out and about.

Not pictured is an Omega Moonswatch Saturn and a Casio Forester. Both very comfortable and casual.

I’m so grateful for the position I am to receive some of these watches as gifts and also have the means to purchase them myself. Thanks for reading!

The inclusion of reputable brands like Cartier and Nomos adds prestige and quality to the collection. ### Ideas for Improvement 1. **Add a High-End Complication**: Introducing a watch with advanced complications, such as a moonphase or chronograph, could enhance the collection's depth. Consider the **Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch** for its iconic chronograph complication. 2. **Incorporate a Vintage Piece**: Adding a vintage watch could increase the collection's historical value and appeal. The **Omega Seamaster Vintage** would be a fitting choice, offering both history and style. 3. **Enhance Material Variety**: Including a watch with unique materials, such as ceramic or titanium, could diversify the collection's material range. The **Rado Captain Cook Ceramic** is a great option for its innovative use of materials. ### Downsizing Advice Consider removing the **Mr Jones Ricochet**, as it overlaps in style with other casual watches in the collection and has a lower impact on the overall collection metrics. ## Watch by Watch Summary 1. **Cartier Santos-Dumont Black Lacquer (8.2) - Price Estimate: $7,000** - Brand (8.5), History & Innovation (8.0), Rarity (7.0), Material (8.5), Dials & Design (9.0), Movement (7.5), Complications (6.0), Functions (7.0), Versatility (8.0) - A luxurious piece with a lacquered finish, ideal for formal occasions. 2. **Nomos Ahoi Neomatik Siren White (8.0) - Price Estimate: $4,120** - Brand (8.0), History & Innovation (7.5), Rarity (7.0), Material (8.0), Dials & Design (8.5), Movement (8.5), Complications (6.5), Functions (7.5), Versatility (8.0) - Known for its minimalist design and in-house movement, suitable for both casual and formal settings. 3. **Sinn 104 St Sa I (7.8) - Price Estimate: $1,900** - Brand (7.5), History & Innovation (7.0), Rarity (6.5), Material (7.5), Dials & Design (8.0), Movement (7.0), Complications (7.0), Functions (8.0), Versatility (7.5) - A robust pilot watch with day-date function, perfect for everyday wear. 4. **Tag Heuer Aquaracer Quartz (7.5) - Price Estimate: $2,150** - Brand (7.0), History & Innovation (6.5), Rarity (6.0), Material (7.0), Dials & Design (7.5), Movement (6.5), Complications (6.0), Functions (8.5), Versatility (7.5) - Offers excellent water resistance and lume, ideal for sports and outdoor activities. 5. **Longines Presence (7.3) - Price Estimate: $990** - Brand (7.0), History & Innovation (7.0), Rarity (6.0), Material (7.0), Dials & Design (7.5), Movement (6.5), Complications (6.0), Functions (7.0), Versatility (7.0) - A classic dress watch with a timeless design, suitable for formal occasions. 6. **Mr Jones Ricochet (6.8) - Price Estimate: $410** - Brand (6.0), History & Innovation (6.0), Rarity (5.5), Material (6.0), Dials & Design (6.5), Movement (6.0), Complications (5.5), Functions (6.5), Versatility (7.0) - A quirky and affordable piece, adding a touch of fun to the collection.
