Collector Description

1.) Longines Presence, my first automatic watch. Was a Christmas gift and very sentimental to me. I’ll never sell this watch as I remember wearing it everyday in college after receiving it. No matter what I was wearing that day I had that watch on my wrist even though it is a dressier watch.

2.) Sinn 104 Anthracite, my first watch purchase for myself which also has significant sentimental value. This was purchased after reading about it non stop on this subreddit.

3.) Nomos Ahoi Siren White, the watch that started it all. I believe I saw a post about a Nomos watch from this sub Reddit and that just led me down the rabbit hole. This was a watch I purchased for myself when I graduated from my undergrad and will always cherish. My favorite watch brand and watch that I own to date.

4.) Cartier Santos Dumont Black Lacquer, my latest pickup and definitely the start of a Cartier bug. This was purchased to mark a significant promotion in my career. It’s a testament to my hard work and it just looks so beautiful.

5.) Tag Heuer Aquaracer Quartz, a gift from my father which I’ll never let out of my sight. My father always wears his older version of this aquaracer (which honestly I like a lot better). This was a gift to complete the family trio of aquaracers (my brother, my father and myself).

6.) Mr Jones Ricochet, a gift from my girlfriend for our anniversary. A surprise gift that definitely impressed me. The dial is so cool and it’s the perfect casual/summer watch. I can’t wait to wear it this summer out and about.

Not pictured is an Omega Moonswatch Saturn and a Casio Forester. Both very comfortable and casual.

I’m so grateful for the position I am to receive some of these watches as gifts and also have the means to purchase them myself. Thanks for reading!

A.I. Collection Review:
# 6 Watch Collection - Longines (17%) / Sinn (17%) / Nomos (17%) / Cartier (17%) / Tag Heuer (17%) / Mr Jones (17%) Review by A.I. WatchMetrics ## Collection Summary This six-watch collection offers an eclectic mix of elegant dress watches like the Longines Presence and Cartier Santos-Dumont, robust tool pieces including the Sinn 104 pilot and Tag Heuer Aquaracer diver, a sleek modern Nomos Ahoi diver, and the quirky Mr Jones Ricochet art watch, predominantly quartz-powered with two automatics, suiting a versatile collector who prioritizes stylistic diversity and everyday functionality over thematic unity. **"Eclectic Style Sampler"** ## Overall Collection Rating: 6.5/10.0 **Brand Metric (6.8/10.0)** - Blending entry-luxury icons like Cartier with reliable tool specialists like Sinn and Nomos creates a solid mid-to-high tier average, comparable to an Oris or Christopher Ward assortment. **History & Innovation Metric (7.1/10.0)** - Heritage heavyweights such as Longines and Cartier pair well with forward-thinking designs from Mr Jones and Sinn's tech, landing above the median like a Hamilton Khaki Field lineup. **Rarity Metric (5.4/10.0)** - Spanning $410 to $7000 prices yields average scarcity for the ~$2,800 mean, on par with standard Tissot PRX ownership. **Material Metric (8.2/10.0)** - Sapphire crystals dominate with standout treatments like Sinn's Tegiment hardening and Cartier's lacquer, exceeding typical Seiko 5 Sports builds through depth and some breadth variety. **Movement Metric (6.9/10.0)** - Quartz reliability meets capable automatics like Nomos' in-house DUW3001, delivering competent if unexceptional performance akin to Tissot PRX standards. **Complications Metric (3.1/10.0)** - Mostly bare-bones time/date functions drag this down, matching basic entry-level three-handers without advanced feats. **Functions Metric (5.8/10.0)** - Core timekeeping plus solid water resistance on sports models provides everyday adequacy, similar to a Citizen Promaster. **Dials & Design Metric (8.5/10.0)** - Eye-catchers like Mr Jones' playful Ricochet and Cartier's lacquered elegance lift the diverse aesthetics well beyond average mid-tier watches. **Versatility Metric (8.3/10.0)** - Covering dress, pilots, divers, and art ensures broad wearability across occasions, outshining narrow tool-watch sets. **Cohesiveness Metric (4.5/10.0)** - Stylistic and movement scatter creates a fun but disjointed sampler rather than a harmonious lineup. ## Total Performance Score (TPS): 4.0 ## TPS Interpretation: Fair Value: Strong designs and versatility shine, but low cohesion and movement sophistication trail expectations at the $2,800 average price. ## WM Collector Grade: C ## Performance Insights: Shines in materials, dials, and versatility for diverse daily use, but cohesion and complications weaken the set; punches above weight for solid mid-tier value. ## Collection Type by Style - Diver/Sports: 33% (Nomos Ahoi, Tag Heuer Aquaracer) - Dress/Formal: 33% (Longines Presence, Cartier Santos-Dumont) - Pilot/Tool: 17% (Sinn 104) - Statement/Art: 17% (Mr Jones Ricochet) ## Collection Type by Movement - Quartz: 67% (Longines Presence, Cartier Santos-Dumont, Tag Heuer Aquaracer, Mr Jones Ricochet) - Automatic: 33% (Sinn 104, Nomos Ahoi) ## Collection Strengths - Exceptional stylistic breadth for unmatched everyday versatility across occasions. - Consistent premium materials and finishing, from sapphire to specialized coatings. - Unique standouts like the Ricochet and Santos-Dumont spark interest and prestige. ## Ideas for Improvement 1. Adopt a unifying theme like German tool watches or all automatics to enhance cohesion. 2. Upgrade quartz-heavy lineup with more innovative or high-reserve automatics. 3. Add a limited-production or vintage piece to boost rarity and historical depth. ## Downsizing Advice To trim to three, keep the Cartier Santos-Dumont for timeless luxury, Nomos Ahoi for modern tool excellence, and Mr Jones Ricochet for quirky flair; offload the Longines, Sinn, and Tag as more commonplace alternatives. ## Watch by Watch Summary **Longines Presence**: Timeless quartz dress watch with clean lines for effortless formal and office versatility. **Sinn 104 St Sa I**: Rugged pilot with dehumidifying tech and 200m resistance, built for real-world tool duties. **Nomos Ahoi Neomatik Siren White**: Minimalist automatic diver boasting in-house movement and refined German aesthetics. **Cartier Santos-Dumont Black Lacquer**: Iconic quartz flat-case dress icon with sophisticated lacquer for high-end elegance. **Tag Heuer Aquaracer Quartz**: Dependable 300m quartz diver ready for watersports and casual ruggedness. **Mr Jones Ricochet**: Playful quartz art watch with ricocheting balls display, perfect as a bold conversation piece. **A.I.
