Collector Description

After 5 years of collecting... Hi everyone. After being bit by the watch bug 5 years ago, here is where my collection stands. I feel content with where I’m at and for the first time in a while, I don’t have the itch to trade, sell, or add anymore pieces. My rule was to never go over 6 watches and possess only 1 watch from the same brand. With these 6 watches I feel covered for every occasion. In the order of when they were acquired:

Tag Heuer Aquaracer (WBD1112.BA0928) - Quartz diver and the watch that started it all

Farer Mansfield Green Tea Dial - picked this up to celebrate a new job. I’m a big Eagles fan so love to wear this whenever I go to the games

Cartier Santos Medium - Picked this up to celebrate a promotion. My dress watch and currently wear this on a red alligator strap

G-Shock (GMAP2100-7A) - my beater/gym watch

Timex Marlin Chronograph - the watch I wear to the office and any other low-key occasions

Rolex GMT Master II (126710BLNR) - my grail watch that I was able to recently acquire at my AD

A.I. Collection Review:
# 6 Watch Collection - Rolex (17%) / Cartier (17%) / Tag Heuer (17%) / Farer (17%) / Casio (17%) / Timex (17%) Review by A.I. WatchMetrics ## Collection Summary This six-watch assortment spans luxury icons like the Rolex GMT-Master II Batman and Cartier Santos Medium alongside accessible tools such as the Casio G-Shock and Timex Marlin Chronograph, blending divers, GMTs, and chronographs with quartz, automatic, and manual movements for a versatile but disparate collection suited to an adventurous collector prioritizing variety and daily wearability over thematic unity. **"Eclectic Luxury-Tool Medley"** ## Overall Collection Rating: 6.3/10.0 **Brand Metric (6.5/10.0)** - Elevated by Rolex and Cartier prestige but pulled down by Timex and Casio basics, akin to a mixed Oris-Hamilton enthusiast stable. **History & Innovation Metric (6.7/10.0)** - Rolex GMT pioneering and Cartier aviation roots anchor it solidly, comparable to an Omega heritage lineup. **Rarity Metric (6.4/10.0)** - Rolex's high secondary pricing boosts it amid common budget pieces, mirroring mid-tier grey market averages. **Material Metric (7.0/10.0)** - Steel and sapphire dominate with good breadth, though resin and mineral glass temper it like Sinn tool watches. **Movement Metric (6.5/10.0)** - Rolex in-house excellence offsets basic quartz and Chinese handwinds, on par with Seiko Prospex diversity. **Complications Metric (4.2/10.0)** - Sparse GMT and chrono features fall short, similar to entry-level Tissot specials. **Functions Metric (6.8/10.0)** - G-Shock utilities and dual-time hands provide everyday utility, matching Citizen Promaster versatility. **Dials & Design Metric (7.8/10.0)** - Batman bezel, Santos geometry, and Mansfield green deliver standout visuals, surpassing standard Citizen dials. **Versatility Metric (8.0/10.0)** - Seamless coverage from boardroom Santos to adventure G-Shock outshines most mono-style collections. **Cohesiveness Metric (3.5/10.0)** - Vast price and style gaps undermine unity, more scattered than a cohesive Tudor diver set. ## Total Performance Score (TPS): 4.0 ## TPS Interpretation: Modest Value: Delivers functional diversity with luxury highlights but cohesion drags it below expectations for the mid-$4,500 average price. ## WM Collector Grade: C ## Performance Insights: Versatility and design excel with Rolex/Cartier anchors, while cohesion and complications lag; solid fair-market value punching at budget-luxury hybrid level. ## Collection Type by Style - Sports & Tool (Dive/Field): Tag Heuer Aquaracer, Casio G-Shock, Rolex GMT-Master II (50%) - Dress & Formal: Cartier Santos, Timex Marlin (33%) - Travel & GMT: Farer Mansfield (17%) ## Collection Type by Movement - Automatic: Cartier Santos Medium, Farer Mansfield Green, Rolex GMT-Master II (50%) - Quartz: Tag Heuer Aquaracer WBD1112.BA0928, Casio G-Shock GMA-S2100 (33%) - Manual Wind: Timex Marlin Chronograph (17%) ## Collection Strengths - Premium luxury anchors (Rolex, Cartier) offer strong resale and status appeal. - Exceptional daily versatility across work, travel, and adventure scenarios. - Visually engaging designs with unique bezels, colors, and shapes in every piece. ## Ideas for Improvement 1. Focus on a core theme like GMT travelers or robust divers to enhance cohesion. 2. Swap budget entries for quality mid-tier automatics to lift movement parity. 3. Incorporate a vintage independent or high-complication piece for added excitement. ## Downsizing Advice Prioritize retaining the Rolex GMT-Master II Batman and Cartier Santos Medium for their investment potential and timeless appeal, while selling the Timex Marlin and Casio G-Shock to fund 1-2 cohesive additions like a Tudor GMT or Omega Seamaster, aiming for a tighter 4-watch sports/travel rotation. ## Watch by Watch Summary **Tag Heuer Aquaracer WBD1112.BA0928**: Elegant 36mm quartz diver with diamond indices and 300m resistance for stylish underwater adventures. **Cartier Santos Medium**: Iconic square steel automatic with screwed bezel screws, blending dress sophistication and 100m tooliness. **Farer Mansfield Green**: British GMT with lively green dial and Sellita automatic, ideal for worldly field wear. **Casio G-Shock GMA-S2100 White**: Compact solar quartz powerhouse with shock resistance and multifunctions for unbeatable toughness. **Rolex GMT-Master II (Batman)**: Legendary 40mm cerachrome dual-tone bezel GMT on Jubilee, the ultimate travel sports icon. **Timex Marlin Chronograph**: Retro 40mm hand-wound Seagull chrono with panda dial, a budget nod to 1960s motorsport charm. **A.I.
