The inclusion of iconic models like the Daytona and GMT-Master II highlights Rolex's historical significance and innovation. ### Ideas for Improvement 1. **Expand Casual Options**: Introduce a Rolex Oyster Perpetual to add a versatile, everyday option that complements the collection's formal and sport watches. This would enhance the collection's versatility and appeal to a broader range of occasions. 2. **Incorporate Advanced Complications**: Consider adding a Rolex Sky-Dweller with an annual calendar complication to elevate the collection's technical depth and showcase Rolex's innovation in complex watchmaking. 3. **Diversify Dial Designs**: Introduce a Rolex Datejust with a unique dial design, such as a fluted motif or mother-of-pearl, to enhance the collection's design variety and appeal to collectors who appreciate artistic craftsmanship. ### Downsizing Advice To streamline the collection, consider removing the Rolex Yacht Master II Mercedes 44mm Steel Oyster. Collector Description:
I've gotten to a point where all my conceivable needs are covered and I'm not really thinking about buying anything else. What is my collection missing? I'd like to add something green, maybe a DJ... but not really too keen on anything in particular at the moment. My style thus far tends to functionality and is maybe a bit orthodox, so something a little weird could be interesting.
Most recent is the Pelagos FXD M.N. - a great weekend tool watch for swimming, hikes, diving, adventures... it will get banged up, and that's fine. I was between this and a seamaster in green and ultimately glad I made this choice, I really like the easy strap changes and light titanium construction. 200m is absolutely more than enough for any recreational diver so anything else is overkill.
Speedy - I work in a business casual environment most days, and it's perfect. Very comfortable and chrono is useful. First truly nice watch I bought and I absolutely love it. It's the hesalite version, but I put a spiralwinder sapphire caseback on to see the 3861. I had been planning to get a leather strap for it but the bracelet on this generation is ridiculously comfortable so there it has stayed.
JLC Geographic - Picked this up to mark a career change. I'm now in a position that has me moving around to different countries frequently, so this complication is ideal. I can track home time or other time zones extremely easily; great legibility and incredibly useful watch. Plus it's gorgeous. Works great with a suit or business casual.
Omega Seamaster 600 ~1963 - I got this for college graduation. It's tiny, so I use it as a dress watch for black tie events. It's not in the best condition but I love the wear and tear and patina. Keeps fantastic time as well.
Seiko SKX007 - This was my weekend beater until I got the Pelagos. It served me well for many years but probably won't get much wrist time at this point. Probably for sale.
Hamilton Khaki King - my first nice watch. At this point, it's for wearing in places where theft is a risk.

Collector Description:
Nearing the end of my watch journey, pretty happy with the size of my collection!
8 years into this watch journey, I find myself nearing an end as I just absolutely love every pick that I have made with this (relatively) small collection.
Breguet 5277 Rose Gold: Beautiful Guilloche dial, 96 hours of power reserve, and beautiful finishing of the movement with all of those beveled edges/anglage.
Oris ProPilot X: Hands down the best bracelet in the game (plus Titanium is so cool!) The lift clasp never gets old, and that 120 hour power reserve from the caliber 400 is pretty sweet as well
Nomos Club Sport Petrol Dial: Nomos is the best value in watchmaking... that sunburst is amazing, and the finishing on the DUW movement is fantastic.
Longines Zulu Time: Probably the best true GMT on the market, the applied Arabic numerals and case finishing rivals those watches that cost 2-3x
Tudor Black Bay 41 Heritage: I absolutely love the gilt hands/index and snowflake hands... definitely cures my itch for a sub!
Not sure if I am adding anything anytime soon, but if I do, those Glashutte Original Panomatics are something else!!

Collector Description:
Hi all.
Thought I'd share my current collection. It got reduced from 9 watches I had last year and feel happy with number so far.
I had my dads seiko 5 when I was at school and from that point I was into watches. My first purchase of a watch was a fashion watch. I know, I learned my lesson. But afterwards I started doing a research and learn more about them. I bought skx007 and it was a real watch for me. I wore it for about 5 years and started buying other watches. After sometime I ended up with 9 watches and my beloved skx stopped getting a wrist time. I know people in this community say never sell your first watch and skx was a true first watch for me. But it felt a bit bad for it staying in my drawer all the time. I thought someone else would enjoy and appreciate it more than I am doing. Then I started reducing my collection to the point where I started to feel comfortable with the number of watches I have. It took me a while to bring the collection to balance but I think I finally got it. Enough watches to wear them regularly, no watch is left without a wrist time and enough watches to have it diverse.what you guys think?

Collector Description:
I thought I would share a few photos of the watches in my collection which has grown over the years to the point where I feel that I have reached the end. I don't really need to buy any more. Or do I...?
2012 Omega Seamaster Diver 300m
This was the first watch ever purchased after I had saved some money after going offshore for a few trips during windfarm construction work and pretty much didn't leave my wrist for 5 years as my daily. It is in my eyes the ideal watch, very legible with excellent lume, it can used for smart or casual, isn't too showy and is built tough. When I first saw it I loved the dash of red on the dial and tip of the second hand, and the tiny fleck of orange/gold which you can see at the base of the hand stack. It has been used and abused, dived with, taken a multiple knocks, has never been serviced and still keeps perfect time. It is now in regular rotation on a variety of NATO straps.
1996 Omega Speedmaster MK40 Triple Date 3520.33
The second watch I purchased after "discovering" Speedmasters but preferring an automatic. I didn't want the hassle of the regular reduced speedy as I understood that the Dubois Depraz module could be tempramental with this instead housing essentially a Valjoux 7751. At the time I was completely taken in by the colours of the dial and the tiny yellow arrow for the date hand, I don't think I've seen too many of these on the wrist which is another appeal vs. a regular speedy.
2013 Rolex Explorer I 214270
A 30th birthday present from my father, the Explorer was never really a watch that I desired, however I knew that it had a special connection to my dad being born in the year that Everest was summited and the fact that he was named after Edmund Hillary. I now absolutely love its simplicity, legible dial and timeless design, being a 36mm as well it also fits my slightly small wrists much better. This has ended up being my watch for special occasions where smart or smart casual is called for.
1967 Rolex GMT Master 1675 "Long E"
Ever since getting into watches I hankered after a GMT Master, the colours of the bezel which just pop, the flat case which sits nicely on the wrist and their timeless appeal. After watching their prices climb steadily I thought I would never be able to afford one unless this popped up for sale at a reasonable sum. This is very much a piece which is only worn occasionally and will ultimately be sold to provide money for when my son is older or gifted to him.
2013 Omega Speedmaster Professional 3573.50 with 3593.20 Italian Albino Cream Dial and Handset
I had always appreciated how the Speedmaster was a significant watch, and would be a nice watch in the collection but there was just something about the white dial of the 45th Anniversary Snoopy which was just chefs kiss. However, again I watched in dismay as prices climbed to ridiculous heights and I knew that I would never own one. Then I saw an article on Fratello with a modified Speedmaster "paramedic mod" with a creamy white dial and red second hand. This was perfect, it had the dash of colour that I like on my watches and the white dial. I had to find /build one! I priced up the build parts and waited to pull the trigger and as if it was meant to be, a modified one with the very dial and handset that I wanted was available for sal, which I snapped up and now wear in regular rotation.
The above watches have been collected over the course of ten years, going through periods of rest (read:saving money) and just enjoying them. I have, in the course of time, been into ADs to register interest in new Submariner and GMT models and never heard a dickie bird. So I stick to the older, slightly more slender models and purchase from Chrono24, reddit and watchuseek; I'm well aware that my collection does not have a particular variety of manufacturers which is fine by me, I just buy watches that I like the look of and to me this collection is perfect.
Anyway, enjoy the photos :-).
