Avg Rating: 1897.67 = Junghans Max Bill Chronoscope (1322) / Nomos Metro Date Power Reserve (1796) / A Lange Sohne Saxonia Thin Pink Gold (2575)

Description:
Last December I bought my first watch, a Junghans Max Bill Chronoscope. I have rather small wrists and over the course of the year have learned that my taste is in German watches with manually wound movements. My next purchase will hopefully be a Lange 1, but I likely will have to save for several years before I can justify such a big purchase.

Junghans Max Bill Chronoscope - This is the watch that got me interested in collecting. It is very unique and beautiful with a domed crystal. I no longer wear it as much because it is rather thick (14.4 mm) for my wrists and it draws far more attention compared to my other two watches which is a problem in the city. I am also not too happy with the build quality and have had one of the chronograph hands fall off despite minimal use (still needs to be repaired in the photo).

Nomos Metro Data Power Reserve - I absolutely love this watch and it was my second purchase. It has a subtle but playful dial with an interesting power reserve indicator that turns red when it needs to be wound and a large 6 o'clock date window. The Nomos is what got me interested in thinner watches with manually wound movements and I now prefer them to automatics. I feel that Nomos is excellent value for the money and my only complaint is that there is no quick date set so it can be very time consuming if it runs out of power.

Lange Saxonia Thin - My most worn watch in rotation; sub-6 mm manually wound in pink gold. It is very subtle and I have never had anyone notice it on my wrist. It is a watch that truly is meant to be appreciated by the wearer and nobody else. I think it is one of the best executed dress watches out there, but at the same time is very versatile and works just as well with a t-shirt. No real negatives other than the price. Lange tax included.

https://www.reddit.com/r/Watches/s/cV8VWobywy

Description:
We don’t usually buy gifts for each other this time of year, but my lovely wife has always wanted a Cartier with diamonds. She has a smaller Tank Francaise from @ 15 years ago and always second-guessed why she didn’t get the diamond bezel model (The easy answer? We couldn’t afford it at the time obviously LOL). So, we tried on a lot of watches and went with the Santos. I absolutely love them both. I thought I’d end up with the blue face but the white just hit me in a classic sort of way and I have an older Omega Seamaster with the blue face. We are both excited!

https://www.reddit.com/r/Cartier/s/dN2AbNbgYj

Description:
Picked Up a New Watch Today. Let Me Know What You Think

About a year or so ago I posted my collection and asked for advice on a chronograph. I’ve spent the past year or so considering various chronographs (Zenith, Breitling, etc.), but I kept coming back to the Speedmaster. At the same time, I didn’t want to add a Speedmaster as my fourth watch. My collection was fairly cookie cutter luxury watch, and the Speedy was another in that vain. Besides, I travel often, and am much more likely to use a GMT function than a chronograph. So, I started looking for GMTs and stumbled across the Grand Seiko Shosho. I immediately knew it was the watch, and I bought it online the next day without ever seeing it in person. It arrived today, and pictures do not do it justice. I am in love with this watch.

I’ll still likely add a chronograph next, and probably a Speedy (though perhaps the new white dial?). But I’m going to take a good bit before getting a new watch and enjoy this collection as is.

I plan to largely wear the Shosho on blue leather, though the bracelet isn’t bothering me as much as some reviews would indicate. It feels solid and I’ll likely use it often as well.

Let me know what you think of my collection and what else you think I should consider. I’ve also got a Day Date on my list, but that’s designated as a 40th birthday present for myself in a few years.

Description:
Hello everyone,

I want to share my 3-watch collection with you. Over time, I have owned around 15 different watches, and I have narrowed it down to these 3. This collection is very versatile and covers almost all the bases, in my opinion. I should mention that I don't wear suits or tuxedos and don't plan to anytime soon, so there's no need for a true dress watch in my collection.

I have also established the "one in, one out" rule since I don't consider myself a collector, so 3 watches are more than enough.

Cheers!
