Description:
Got my vintage Speedmaster back from service today and with a recent pickup (the Horage) I now have filled my 8 slot box with mechanical watches (will need to start new storage for my quartz watches).

Going clockwise from top left we've got: 1979 Omega Speedmaster 861, Omega SMP NTTD, Omega Aqua Terra Saffron, Longines Legend Diver Bronze, Christopher Ward Trident Pro 300 Bronze, Hamilton Jazzmaster Skeleton, Horage Supersede Date, Longines Master Collection Chronograph.

Trying to limit myself to 8 mechanical watches so things don't get out of hand, but there may be some upgrades or substitutions to be made. Currently they are all round watches so I may try to trade something out for a different case shape. I'm not sure I need two bronze dive watches so maybe one of those will be something to let go of. At some point I would like to upgrade the Master Collection Chronograph to something like a Zenith or a Daytona if I'm so lucky.

Let me know what you think and any suggestions you have on something different to add!

https://www.reddit.com/r/Watches/s/Qb2Z1MQ2n0

Description:
Finally feels complete. Am I missing anything?

I’ve always loved watches but my interest in the world of “luxury” watches was piqued when my wife and I traveled to Venice in 2019. Of course, as is common, my tastes changed quite a bit in that first year. After buying and then selling several watches, I decided to define what my ideal collection was to avoid impulse buying and both buyers and sellers remorse.

Since that time, I’ve only purchased watches from that list. This week, I finally picked up the last watch on the list, Rolex GMT-Master II 16710 to celebrate a milestone birthday and the birth of my first child. I’m probably done for a while. But as most of us know, the itch usually comes back around at some point.

I’d love to hear any thoughts on the collection and/or any thoughts on what might be a good next watch. In my mind, a steel dress watch like a JLC Reverso or Grand Seiko might be a cool option.

https://www.reddit.com/r/Watches/s/4nOv0DafTN

Description:
I thought I’d share my current collection with you all. I currently have a one-in, one-out policy, and with 8 watches, they all get a decent amount of wrist time. From the top left clockwise:

Rolex Yachtmaster: I’ve always loved the gold and black combo, especially with the pop of red on the dial, but the two tone bracelet can be a bit much sometimes, so I usually wear it on an Everest rubber or leather strap.

Zenith El Primero Original 1969: I’ve always loved the rich history of the brand and their movements. It’s perfect for a casual night out with jeans/tee shirt.

CWC Mellor 72: Another watch with great history, it scratched the mechanical itch for me. I love the cushion case and throwback design.

IWC 36: I’ve had difficulty finding the right IWC due to the lug length and the fact that my wrist is fairly small. The 36 really just fits perfectly, and the dial is sunburst and very radiant in person.

Rolex OP 34: This is the 114200 with a champagne colored dial. The dimensions on this model make it closer to a 35/36 and it really fits perfectly as compared to other 34mm and 36mm models that I’ve tried on.

Zodiac Automatic (1950s): Vintage piece with the original box and papers from 70 years ago. It gets by far the most compliments of any watch that I wear.

Tudor BB58: I think enough has been said about this watch over time. It works really well on an Artem Sailcloth strap as well.

Seiko SKX013: The first watch I bought in this collection. The 007 was just too big, but this model really suits my wrist well.

https://www.reddit.com/r/Watches/s/VdvDkDYvpB

Description:
I don’t know if you can call this diverse, but I’m trying to keep it one watch per brand (except for the god-tier Casio, obviously).

From top-left to bottom-right:

Rolex - GMT Master II 116710BLNR - The OG Batman, the first bicolored ceramic bezel by Rolex, love the vibrant blue. Looking at you, pepsi.

Omega - Speedmaster Moonwatch 311.32.42.30.13.001 - Choco dial, this is what got me hooked to movements, and now a solid case back is almost a deal breaker for me.

Grand Seiko - Spring Drive SBGA433 - A China Limited Edition of 222 (actual production is rumored to be 182). Interesting dial and unique mechanism.

Frederique Constant - Slimline Manufacture Moonphase FC-705BG4S6 - A very fine watch for the price (pre-owned). 42mm is large for a dress watch, but lug is short.

Tag Heuer - Aquaracer WAY2112.BA0928 - Was my starter watch, features an awkward 20.5mm lug width (yes 20.5mm, not 20, not 21).

Seiko - Seiko 5 SNK807K2 - Was a gift from my brother.

Casio - Calculator CA53 - No explanation needed.

Casio - A159 - The legend itself.

Currently thinking to add either GO Panomaticlunar, JLC Reverso Duoface, or CW Bel Canto.

https://www.reddit.com/r/Watches/comments/18502x1/sotc_2023/?share_id=dPRUwfjema7PoOJYRpOa0&utm_content=1&utm_medium=android_app&utm_name=androidcss&utm_source=share&utm_term=1

Description:
Just sharing my collection that I have accumalated over the past 8 years since I got my first watch.

Casio F91W - Received this as a gift recently. As someone who isn't a big fan of G Shocks to my surprise ive really been enoying wearing this specificially at the gym the fact that its really thin and all black really makes it feel quite seemless while using it to workout.

Hamilton Khaki Field Auto 38 - This is the second watch that I purchased myself and the first that I truly spent alot of time researching and thinking about how it would fit into my collection. It serves as my dedicated Nato strap watch as I really enjoy wearing nato's. Field watches are probably my second favourite category right after dress.

Omega SMP 2220.80.00 - The first watch that probably started it all. I was lucky enough to get an opportunity to acquire this watch through a family member at a great price back then I was quite young probably around 14-15 and this was the first time I had saved up enough to buy something so expensive I was always somewhat aware of most watches and definitely quite aware of the bond watches as I used to admire them on Daniel Craigs wrist in the movies so when this casino royale ref came up it almost felt unreal that I was able to get it at that age and time.

Omega Speedmaster Cal 1861 - This was bought not too long ago I believe in 2023. This was a watch that I always liked but never considered due to the size however I was unsuccesfully looking for Grand Seiko's locally as Imo it is one of the most interesting brands for me currently and got a chance to try on the speedy at a local boutique and immediately felt like getting it as the size truly fits much better then expected. I still beleive its slightly on the larger size but since it is a sports watch im fine with it but this is probably the largest i would go.

JLC Reverso - My most recent acquisiton that I didnt have the stomach to purchase so I never really thought about owning it but I had the budget for a vacation saved up for a few years now and I havent really gone anywhere so now that im coming up on a major event in my life and getting married this year I thought why not .A "grail" watch for me since the first time i found out about it I could talk about the marketing material regarding history and JLC's importance in watchmaking but truly I coudlnt care as purely from a design perspective this is the watch that best suits me.

King Seiko 4502-7000 - A watch I came to know due to my interest in Grand Seiko's. I randomly stumbled upon the history of Seiko and its sub brands King & Grand Seiko where I watched many videos and read many articles regarding Seiko's accomplishment and the competition between the 2 factories producing KS & GS which I really enjoyed which led me to the archives of models produced where I really liked pretty much all of vintage KS as compared to GS which led me to this tastefully sized vintage KS with what I beleive has a really cool case and movement. I sometimes want to collect all of the vintage peices but trying to remain somewhat sane.

Cartier Tanks Solo/Must - So I kind of cheated this actually isnt my watch I just put it in the picture to visualise somewhat what my complete collection will look like for the next few years atleast. I am getting a Tank Must black dial as a gift on my wedding so kind of made sense to have this here to complete the picture.

Raymond Weil 2835 - Finally the RW tradition this was my first "Luxury watch" that apparantly as per my mother was gifted to my father the same year I was born by my Grandfather. I find the watch to be really elegant with the textured dial, sub seconds & the gold plated case. Being my first watch I had used this as a beater pretty much every single day for quite some time and now is not worn frequently but mostly on special occassions.

Thats it my 8 watch collection for a while hopefully some of these peices I plan to keep forever and never replacing but some I do at times think about replacing I am going to do a 1 in out out policy for the future as to not exceed 8 watches.

Let me know any thoughts or questions are welcome :D.

https://www.reddit.com/r/Watches/s/aLejRjnLHe

Skipper - I work at sea so appropriate and love the new design and colours, the Carrera line is doing well this year. Bought it about a month ago. Sub - I bought it about 11 years ago, it’s my baby, just had its first service, wear it practically daily, always loved it. Nomos Ahoi - Bought it in 2015, love dive watches and it’s a dressier diver. It’s been through all sorts worn mostly for work and it’s awesome. Hypebeast x Bamford - Bought last week after a couple of drinks and it was released that day, not sure about the quality now I’ve got it, could probably have spent the money better elsewhere. Mondaine - Gotta love the Swiss railways. Had it probably 10 years. G-Shock - Got given it by my GF many years ago, never needs a battery and insanely accurate.
