Description: <p>My German two-watch collection - Looking for repair advice on the Junghans.</p><p>Well I wanted to show off my perfect (to me) two-watch German collection consisting of a Sinn 556 | B and a Junghans Max Bill Chronoscope. I feel like these two watches do so much heavy lifting and are appropriate for just about any occasion/ dress. Couldn&#x27;t be happier with my choices! I got the Sinn before my first trip to Austria/ Germany this year to meet my girlfriend&#x27;s family for the first time - We got engaged on the trip! So there&#x27;s lots of sentiment there. I bought the Junghans when I got back to balance it out :-)<br/><br/>A couple weeks ago my dearest fiancé (who likes to speak with her hands) accidentally swatted the Junghans out of my hands while I was getting undressed and it hit the bathroom tile, cracking the domed plexiglass crystal. :-(<br/><br/>I went through the repair form submission on Junghans&#x27; website only to reach the end and not have an option for residents outside of Austria and Germany. Does anyone have any repair advice they can help me with? If I can get a domed Saphire crystal that would be great, but from what i understand the plexiglass just has a better vintage look to it. You can find a lot of flair and color in limited availability’s for a very affordable price.<br/><br/>These are my two most recent.<br/><br/>The Furlan Marri X Seconde Seconde is 38mm and uses a mechaquartz movement. Lug to lug is around 46mm.<br/><br/>The Studio Underdog is 38.5mm but has a lug to lug of about 44mm. It uses the famous seagull chronograph movement.<br/><br/>The attention to detail on both are amazing for the price. Description: <p>Here is my very small Seiko Solar “collection.” On the left is my new SNE585 on an upgraded bracelet from Long Island Watch (if you’re reading this, Mark, thank you), and on the right is my old SNE031 that I’ve resurrected from the dead (my dark drawer).<br/><br/>The solar diver is excellent. Fantastic lume, shiny sunray blue dial, perfect case size and a lovely clicky bezel. The upgraded bracelet makes the world of difference in how the watch wears. My SNE031 was a gift from my parents when I just got into watches over five years ago. It’s beat up, scratched to hell, but keeps on ticking. It was my first and only watch for years, so I’m never giving it up. I’m afraid her extended periods in dark drawers damaged her capacitor; the watch holds a charge, but I had to keep it in a windowsill for nearly two weeks in order to do so. It’s working now, but I’ll keep a close eye on it.<br/><br/>What’s funny about Seiko is that, for me at least, I’ll keep saying, “I won’t buy another Seiko, their value isn’t what it used to be!” Yet 75% of my collection is Seiko, and the other 25% have Seiko movements in them.<br/><br/>Solar quartz watches very convenient, very accurate and worry-free due to the decade-long battery life. Thinking of a hi-beat auto to get…maybe the Atticus Pytheas?
