4 - Panerai / Grand Seiko / Audemars Piguet / IWC - 202407292313
Collector:
Gathered a collection of 4 that (for me at least) does everything I need.
Panerai 01313 Blue Sunburst: a daily beater. Robust, heavy and very waterproof, the Pan is my go to sports watch (alongside my trusty Apple Watch!)
Grand Seiko SLGH011 Green Birch: a fun weekend watch to match a casual chic wardrobe. By far the most mesmerizing dial amongst the 4.
AP 15500 Black Dial: A classic for any occasion.
IWC Ingenieur Aqua: the latest addition to the collection. Simply could not resist that Aqua dial.
Looking for another to add to the collection. Thinking of adding one from that brand that begins with an R and ends with an olex… what about a Sky Dweller chocolate/everose gold or one with a blue dial and stainless steel?

Today marks the day I have officially downsized my collection. Well not officially as the ones I won’t be keeping are still due to sell but have been listed and won’t be apart of my collection no more. Having loads of watches is fun until it isn’t, well that was the case for me. I would always find myself wearing a specific style of watches I enjoyed the most so the others were kind of just there for show, no real connection.

Summer vibe collection
Now that we've finally hit some hot weather in northern Europe, I'm starting to enjoy my summer watches a little more. These are the ones that I'm giving with at the moment!
Seiko Willard SPB153 in the classic olive green. This is such a great watch that matches the more muted tones I typically wear. The rubber strap is super comfortable. The color is just perfect. And I love the unique case shape and traffic light seconds hand. It does overlap with my Pelagos a little bit, so am considering putting this one on the chopping block, but we'll see.
San Martin SN0118. This one is brand new, picked it up in one of the June sales but they ran out of stock, so it took an extra month to get to me. It's got a great dial, color, and bracelet combo. I only wear bracelets with on-the-fly adjustment clasps, especially in summer, and this has a Milanese bracelet with one, which is pretty rare. The colors are pure summer. I also bought a third party FKM rubber strap for it, but sadly it doesn't fit, so I might shell out for the pricier San Martin one.
Finally, a rare limited edition Farer Bernina chronograph in stainless steel. The typical Bernina has a white ceramic bezel, while this one is blue. I think of it as July 4-ready, but it works just as well for Trooping the Colour. As I understand it, Farer issued a very limited number of these to winners of the Bernina Gran Turismo one year. It's hard to even find a photo of them online.

This collection is ideal for a collector who appreciates the ruggedness and functionality of dive watches, with a penchant for both classic and contemporary designs. The collection's strengths lie in its cohesive theme of dive watches, high-quality materials, and the inclusion of a limited edition piece, which adds a layer of rarity and desirability.

10 - Omega / Tag Heuer / Zenith / Casio / Casio / Swatch / Swatch / Swatch / Boderry / Casio - 202407202039
Collector:
It all started with the Carrera 02 Senna, and I fell in love with the mechanical movement, skeleton dial, and open case back. I grew up watching the Villeneuve vs Schumacher era of F1, and always wanted a Tag since those days.
But it was heavy (almost 300g!) and chunky, and so in quick order the omega was added. It is the world's best daily driver in my opinion, highly recommend.
The zenith came next, and while I love the history, insane movements (yes, it has two), the clasp is bloody awful and painful. It is a love hate relationship.
In between those, there's been a bunch of Casio and moonswatchs, which keeps things fun. This weekend, I got the swatch x blancpain collaboration, and was gifted a great little field watch as well. That brings things to ten, and now I need a bigger box.
I also need to figure out where to store these watch boxes as well ...
I guess it is a great problem to have! Good health!

Do you care if a watch is legible?
When might lack of readability be a good thing? I bought the Speedmaster because the Alaska project was a study in readability of an already very readable watch.
Meanwhile there is nothing readable about the silver Royal Oak Chrono
But… if it came down to the Speedy or the Royal Oak. Im keeping that Oak
