6 - Tag Heuer / Cartier / Farer / Casio / Rolex / Timex - 202502210035
Collector:
After 5 years of collecting... Hi everyone. After being bit by the watch bug 5 years ago, here is where my collection stands. I feel content with where I’m at and for the first time in a while, I don’t have the itch to trade, sell, or add anymore pieces. My rule was to never go over 6 watches and possess only 1 watch from the same brand. With these 6 watches I feel covered for every occasion. In the order of when they were acquired:
Tag Heuer Aquaracer (WBD1112.BA0928) - Quartz diver and the watch that started it all
Farer Mansfield Green Tea Dial - picked this up to celebrate a new job. I’m a big Eagles fan so love to wear this whenever I go to the games
Cartier Santos Medium - Picked this up to celebrate a promotion. My dress watch and currently wear this on a red alligator strap
G-Shock (GMAP2100-7A) - my beater/gym watch
Timex Marlin Chronograph - the watch I wear to the office and any other low-key occasions
Rolex GMT Master II (126710BLNR) - my grail watch that I was able to recently acquire at my AD

6 - Maen / Breitling / Seiko / Long Islander / Hamilton / Casio - 202502112341
Collector:
Hi watch enthusiasts,
I recently sold and shrunk my collection to add more color and add some watches that are more "valuable". I personally think value drives from how you connect to a watch & not the price tag. I added some color to my collection because to me that's a way fun to collect.

3 - Seiko / Tissot / IWC - 202502112208
Collector:
What are your thoughts on my 3 watch collection? What could I improve?
Seiko 5 - This is my inexpensive work/travel watch that I don’t have to worry about. I put a rubber band on it for a little extra durability.
Tissot PRX - I’m not sure if this classifies as a dress watch but I wanted something with a sleek design and nice metal bracelet for more formal events, also wanted it to stand out a bit so I opted for the blue dial.
IWC Pilot 3706 - My most expensive watch. Got this as more of a keepsake item, since it’s got a lot of history and a cool story behind it. Went with a nato band to give it a more military/vintage look, I dress it up with a nice black leather for occasions.
AI Review Highlights:

Land, Air, Sea Blues.
First state of the collection post from a slight-of-wrist collector (6.25 in). Seiko SPB149 diver is the one closest to my heart. Wish I could have better captured the blue dial. I have been trying to find a leather strap for the alpinist but I always end up putting it back on the bracelet. Unlike the green alpinist, I find this one to be less versatile. This shade of blue makes it look more elegant than toolsy imo. The Spirit 37 is easily the most refined of the bunch. It has long lugs which give it a unique appearance on the wirst. Some have said that its long lugs make it wear larger but it definitely wears like a 37mm to me. What should I get next?
AI Review Highlights:
**"Heritage Explorer"**
This collection embodies **rugged exploration and horological heritage**, featuring three watches that balance vintage inspiration with modern functionality. The **Seiko Alpinist SPB197J1** is a field watch with deep mountaineering roots, the **Longines Spirit** channels aviation history into a refined everyday piece, and the **Seiko Prospex Diver 62MAS SPB149** is a faithful reissue of Seiko’s first dive watch.
With strong representation in **sport and adventure categories**, this collection excels in **Functions, Versatility, and History & Innovation**. Each piece offers excellent durability, **100m+ water resistance**, and reliable automatic movements, making the collection highly functional and ready for real-world use. The mix of Swiss and Japanese brands also brings diversity in watchmaking philosophy, with Longines offering high-end finishing and heritage, while Seiko showcases its legendary tool-watch reliability.
This collection is ideal for **adventurers and heritage enthusiasts** who appreciate mechanical watches built for rugged environments, with a focus on historical significance and timeless design.

4 - Junghans / Tudor / Rolex / Casio - 202501312113
Collector:
I consolidated a larger collection into these 4 this year. I am extremely pleased with this collection as it stands. I feel like each watch gets sufficient wrist time. I also feel like each watch is distinct and has a unique design language. The Explorer and Pelagos FXD get the most wrist time, but I enjoy the Junghans and G-Shock a lot too. I had been pining after the Rolex for some time and it has not disappointed. It’s especially comfortable with the after market Steel Reef on the fly extension link I purchased. Love the FXD on a parachute style strap (the one pictured is from The Watch Steward). Is anyone else enjoying a smaller collection having come from a larger one?

4 - Tudor / Zenith / Longines / Hamilton - 202412182200
Collector:
My Core Four:
I was an Apple Watch guy until 2020, when I noticed an Longines DolceVita on a friend. I have owned as many as 8/9 watches including Orient, Christopher Ward, etc but these four are all I need - for now…
Tudor Black Bay 58 39mm - Bought this during my honeymoon and honestly, if I could only have 1 watch, it may be the BB58. The fit, looks, durability just work on in almost any occasion.
Zenith Chronomaster Original 38mm (El Primero) - This had been my grail since I dove into this hobby years ago , but needed a milestone big enough to justify this purchase. This was a gift to myself for becoming a father. This is the perfect sized Chrono for me and the tri color dial is perfect - I will say the lume is not great, and it is not the most legible.
Longines Spirit 37mm - This was my first big watch purchase after getting a big promotion at work. Also wore this on my wedding day. Currently my daily driver, and will always be in my collection.
Hamilton Boulton Quartz Large - Gifted this by my wife after a BJJ belt promotion. This is a killer watch, but in all honesty, it does not get a ton of wrist time, and I tend to gravitate more to the longines/zenith in business casual situations. This will always be in my collection, but the JLC reverso duoface may take its place in the rotation down the road due to it being 2 dress watches + GMT. If you were to swap out the Hamilton, what would you choose to round out this collection?
AI Review Highlights:
**"Timeless Quartet"**
The "Timeless Quartet" collection is a well-rounded assembly of watches that showcases a blend of classic design, historical significance, and modern functionality. This collection excels in its versatility and cohesiveness, offering a balanced mix of styles suitable for various occasions. The standout pieces include the Tudor Black Bay Fifty-Eight, known for its vintage-inspired design and robust build, and the Zenith Chronomaster Original, which brings a rich heritage of chronograph innovation. The Longines Spirit adds a touch of aviation history, while the Hamilton Boulton Small Second offers a nod to classic American watchmaking.
This collection is ideal for a collector who appreciates a mix of heritage and modernity, with a focus on watches that can transition seamlessly from casual to formal settings. The collection's strengths lie in its versatility and the historical significance of each piece, making it appealing to both seasoned collectors and those new to the world of horology. The intended collector profile is someone who values timeless design and the stories behind each watch, with a preference for pieces that can be worn in a variety of settings.

5 - Rolex / JLC / Zenith / Seiko / Citizen - 202412172345
Collector:
Thought I would do a collection update.
Rolex Explorer 40
This is my most recent acquisition. It was purchased for a work milestone. Loving it so far and it currently takes up 99% of my wrist time. I was considering a titanium IWC mark xx but opted for this in the end. Had avoided rolex for almost 10 years in the hobby but I see the reason people love them.
Zenith El Primero Chronomaster
I had purchased a speedy when I got admitted as a lawyer but stupidly sold it. I acquired this to replace it. Was a one-watch owner, owned by a former watchmaker from the Rolex SC.
JLC Reverso
Gift from my wife for our engagement. Probably my favourite. Gets worn less now but gets busted out for special occassions.
Seiko SPB 143
This was a gift for my 30th. Has travelled many places as my companion on many treks, hikes and dives. Great watch to grab for the beach. I think the 62MAS is the perfect dive watch design.
Citizen Promaster
Just a bit of fun and a lume dial - whats not to love.
Whats next?
I think a gold dress watch, PP, VC or JLC ultra thin or an ALS.
What would you get next and why?
