I know quite a lot about watches, I’ve been buying and selling (never to make money) maintaining a 5-watch collection for many years. I’ve had a lot of watches, and this is where I’ve landed.

The Sinn- Love at first sight when I first saw the black pearl 556. Hugely disappointed on wrist and in person. The indices shine, and the dial is a weird flat black 99.9% of the time. If you like mother of pearl dials and you like Sinn, go for the white one if you can find it, I’m going to pick that one up if I see it at a reasonable price (I paid 1200USD for mine). But anyway, yellow is a special colour to me and I love the 556 so here it is, no ghost date position on the crown (all other 556 watches have one except the von 400 limited series pictured here), also, 38mm and display back, antimag, workhorse movement, 200m water resistance, an absolute banger for value. Go get a 556 if you have the money. One watch to do it all, and I’m talking the regular 556i or 556A. The coloured ones carry a stupid markup being limited and blah blah.

The Hamilton-no date, green dial, orange accents, titanium, 38mm, display back, great brand, great movement, smooth push pull crown, incredible value, and that’s what I’m all about.

The Longines- this picture didn’t do this justice and for that I apologize. It’s all black, but with blue shiny stars over “chronometer” and a blue shiny Longines logo under “Longines”. The indices are applied, and incredibly executed. And has a seconds hand that has too many cool quirks and features to list. This is the Longines Spirit in 40mm for Bucherer, seems to be pretty rare, and while I have difficulty saying it’s my favourite watch I will say I wear it more than the others here. Incredible value for money, probably the best value in my collection considering the smoothness of the crown and finishing on this watch. Teddy Bulbasaur said it’s a better offering than Tudor Ranger as it’s equal in almost every aspect except the movement—but it’s much cheaper, and shit, looks way better in my opinion. Something to think about. And sorry, but this thing needs to be seen in person, lots of non-watch enthusiast people make comments on this one. “Cool watch” as they say.

The Omega- I sometimes need strong antimagnetic properties, and I used to want a Rolex Milgauss, but the price hike, the premium price for Rolex, and the fact that the master co-axial in my Railmaster denim (matrix blue super awesome grand seiko level dial, 15000 THOUSAND gauss) shits all over the Rolex in almost every way. Sorry, not sorry. I should also add that I get 3 other cool watches for still less than the price of the milgauss. Dial needs to be seen to be appreciated, and oddly enough, omega does a terrible job showing it even in their own catalogue.

Hey! This is my beautiful three watch collection. For me its almost perfect as it covers each scenario to wear a watch. For an elegant setting I can wear the Cartier tank, for a more casual setting I can wear the Santos 1920's ronde and for traveling I could wear my Tudor Black Bay Pro.

The Credor lines up perfectly with my love of ultra-thin, watches, and is so much better built than I would have expected. It comes in at 4mm at its thickest, with faceted edges around the edges of the sapphire crystal which makes it look like jewelry in the light. It also features the most delicate yet interesting sunburst pattern I've seen yet. The center is vertically brushed and the surrounding is horizontally brushed (exactly mimicking the finish on the bracelet, which is probably my favourite bracelet).

I'm not sure what there is to say about the F-91W that hasn't already been said. It's my favourite hiking watch, shown here in (arguably) the best colorway. It's also the watch I wear the most in the lab, because it's $10 and probably antimagnetic? No idea about that last part, but so far none of the rTMS trials have affected it.

Lastly, we have the PRX. Yes, everyone and their mother has one. It was my reward to myself for securing my first fully funded graduate position (the only one in my faculty). It's great and came along as a boating watch since it's the only one here with actual water resistance. I think the orange rubber strap is a lot more fun with the blue dial and really works in the summer

The Seiko was my first watch to treat myself after getting a professional job after graduation.

The Omega Speedmaster Olympic was for my 30th birthday from my mum which coincided with the Beijing Olympics.

I got the Casio was bought for when I am working in the field.

Then I got the Nomos Club 701 after a promotion.

The newest addition is the new Black Bay Burgundy. This was a somewhat impulse buy when I saw it available for purchase at a Rolex AD. I was like, no wait list? Sold! I am in awe of the METAS certified movement.

The vintage Omega square is actually 43 years old. It was a gift from my grandfather to my dad and it has now been past down to me. It was in a sorry state with a missing crown and broken stem and water damage on the dial. Sent it back to Omega where they fully restored it along with a new strap. Omega are fantastic as they send back all the stuff they replaced too.

This is truly it. I think my collection is now complete because, it has a chronograph, a perpetual calendar, automatic movements, manual wound movement, a diver and a digital. The collection can be used for dress and causal.

If there was to be a "final" watch. It might have to be an Omega Globemaster.

I'm a three-watch man so I always have a Holy Trinity. I've tried to touch all the bases design wise and "ETA wise".

Hamilton X-wind with Valjoux 7750 (was my daily driver for almost 8 years); is still in the +4 sec per day.
Breitling Avenger 43 with Breitling 17, a modified ETA 2824-2 COSC; +6 sec per day.
Hamilton Khaki Navy Pioneer with ETA 2895-2; +2 sec per day.

Tissot PRX quartz 35mm (Green dial) : I know people are a little sick of seeing the PRX here. I got it as a gift. Nice watch, I really like the dial color, it gets a lot of wrist time. My only concerns with this watch are the lack of micro adjustment and the fact that the bracelet scratches easily.

Citizen Tsuyosa (Yellow dial) : the design is not for everyone with the cyclop and the weird choice of bracelet for an integrated watch , but I really like it and the quality is really good for the price (I paid 250€).

Seiko Presage shap edgeg : this is by far my most worn watch. Very good looking, confortable, decent power reserve. Its also incredibly resistant to scratches and I am not particularly careful. The only thing that could be better is the dial color which is a little to dark. I got it for 650€ which is the steal for this level of quality in my opinion.

Henry Archer Akva (underwater green dial and black dlc case&bracelet) : this is my latest watch, first diver and first micro brand. Great specs and quality for the price (500€). I love how thin its is, very confortable. The only default is the very stiff bezel rotation. We will see how the dlc coating holds up in time, its supposed to be very résistant.

Seiko Presage SPB113J1 (white dial): this is my dress watch, I like the very clean design. The enamel dial looks really good in person. My concerns with this watch is the size, the diameter should be a little smaller (like 38mm vs 40mm) and it most importantly it should be thinner.

I recently studied my compTIA exams and moved into IT and decided to commemorate the occasion by buying the Omega Seamaster Professional 300M. I'm British and love the look of the watch and used to watch all the bond movies so it fitted.
